I changed the title hoping to at least get a frickin' view. Damn baby, what's a girl gotta do to gets some feedback?

I am searching high and low for my "niche" in this big world of IM.
I enjoy writing humorous copy, the snippier the better. (I have a sharp tongued wit) I've written some small scripts for a friend to use for various purposes. My friend is having a surprise birthday party with a Royal theme (A Jubliee). I wrote a silly script for someone impersonating the Queen of England to record. I email friends sarcastic emails on the Groupon of the day. The point is... I love doing stuff like this!

What can I do with this?

Yes, that sort of thing. You could have a gig for humorous copy, another for video scripts...etc etc

        Good luck!

This is a good idea. I'd go for something like this and get yourself on oDesk or the like too.

If you're a natural writer, there's loads of people who'd hire you....me being one of them!

        Why thank you!
MOST of the time I can write fairly easily, if the subject matter is, or can be silly.

You could start a blog covering popular news & celebrities, all with your witty jokes and style.

If you're consistent, genuinely funny/interesting, and can find a way to spread the word, you could make something out of it.

There are some concepts that you should be familiar with to take advantage of that sharp tongue of yours.

    - Blogging
    - Trends
    - Youtube
    - Adsense

Create a blog and a Youtube channel and talk about trending topics from google, twitter, youtube or local news. But use your own voice, humourus style has way better reception than a formal one.

Maybe you have your funny opinion about Tom Cruise's divorce, or Ann Curry departure from Today show, or the NBA Draft, people are looking for this right now on Google, on Youtube and Twitter and if you speak of this on your blog or your youtube channel people will found your content and engage with you.

Monetize with Adsense or Amazon or any other relevant product you can find.

Or you can write a book with jokes like "1000 jokes for a wedding reception" "100 clever answer to tell your boss when your work is not ready" "100 little withe lies for a cheater"

The possibilities are limited only by the depths of your sarcasm...

    Good Luck

Get people on an email list to recieve the antic dote of the day/week... only, focus on a certain type of antic dote that also indicates other interests, like "Fishing Jokes" or whatever...

And you have identified a halfway decent broad market then you can funnel down through your emails to be more concentrated, and offer fishing equip deals..., fishing is just an example. and this is just a general idea.

I kind of do something like this for friend's now. When I see an especially silly or redneck-y Groupon, I write a sales pitch for the Groupon and email it to friends.

I live in the south and don't foresee a shortage of material. Last week we had a Groupon for AnyLabTestNow. It specifically noted that STD tests and DNA tests weren't covered by this Groupon.

I write with a Billy Jean Hickberry personality when it's a totally redneck thing, so maybe I can look for a niche to match my inner hick.

This is your niche already, if your friends are really being entertained by your redneck-y Groupon pitches, others might be entertained too. I would love to see one of your Groupon pitches. That is the kind of stuff that can go viral. I would set it up with your own Groupon-y name like Groped-On.com or Pooped-On.com or anything that is understood to be a parody name and maybe use a Groupon clone script or just use a launch page and autoresponder to send your stuff by email.....

Sign up for deals of the day affiliate programs including GroupOn's that pays 15% and start writing away. I for one will sign up to receive your sales pitches. Make sure you use a plugin or script so people can pass your Groped-On.com deals to others. This could spread like wildfire if it is really funny stuff. But make sure every pitch you write is affiliate linked to the real deal so you can get paid.

Somewhere in your pitch you will probably put a disclaimer saying this is just a parody, for fun, but that you do write professionally and are "for hire"..That can provide you with some cash while you grow the site. Once you hit a couple thousand emails subscribers or even sooner, you would be able to sell space on each of your pitches. In the end people might actually want you to list and sell their products on your site with your rednecky style..

Go check out the listing copy at AppSumo dot com and you will see what I mean..

        Good luck!

Well, you got your frickin' view. Satisfied?

Seriously, if you can do humorous, snippy, sarcastic and even openly insulting without being mean or vicious, there are a lot of ways you can go. Look at the likes of Don Rickles, Joan Rivers, Lisa Lampanelli, and others.

Rivers has even parlayed a sharp tongue (and even sharper wit) into peddling jewelry on QVC.

Whew!!! I was totally getting a complex over here.

Do you know how many lively threads I have killed? First there is banter, then I walk in, make a comment, and everyone's like, "who brought the dork?" and leaves.

Thanks for the feedback. I have the advantage of having a fairly lucrative career, so if I eventually decide to give up food and shelter cold turkey, I want it to be for something I love to do.

Ha! That's how I feel, even though 99% of the time I'm not even trying to be funny, though I wanna be.

My husband and I have the quirkiest sense of humor and we've thought about making some short videos and posting them to YouTube, but we're afraid people will get insulted (we find humor in things that most people laugh at, but are too ashamed to admit).

Anyway, if you do get a website or blog up, there are plenty of things you could do with humor. Why don't you just start with writing a book?

I know exactly how you feel. I worry about offending people. I can be a bit twisted and occasionally wicked. But there is just soooo much low hanging fruit in the world.

They have this weird policy about not making 'em adjustable. Mine might be a little large if it's a small dog, but if Lindsay Lohan films in the south again, you can ask her about hers.

Or you can just pop off at the mouth with the Lexington County Sheriff's department, they'll issue you one.

Now, now! If it were a parole violation she wouldn't be able to go to Charlotte, now would she? (Especially to eat at PF Chang's. It takes 3 hours to get in and out of that place: 1 hour to be seated, 5 minutes to get your drink, 15 minutes to get your order taken, 30 minutes to get your food, and 1 hour and 10 minutes to get the check. Ok... These are a couple I sent in the last couple weeks..

Deal Chicken had NCAA grill toppers that sear your favorite team into the slab of meat of your choice There was a side offer for bowling for four..

You can get 50% off grill topper, so you can sear a Tiger paw or fighting Gamecock directly into your burger!! We hear there are other NCAA teams available but around here, who cares?
If you add in the 50% off bowling for 4, including shoe rental then you don't have just a discount my friend, you have just created a dream date for two little ole' country girls!

    The Groupon for AnyLabTestNow

If you were exhilirated to see Any Lab Test Now pop up on Groupon, please note that these are for B12 injections only. While you may shed belly fat and improve your liver health, you will not be able to take a DNA test with this Groupon and finally know who is, "Your Baby Daddy". Also not included are the STD tests and food allergy tests, so please, no scratching or feeding little Timmy peanut butter until Groupon can come up with something you can actually use.

I see gigs like these all the time on Fiverr. Fiverr's probably the best way to earn doing it because they provide the traffic for you and you don't have to worry too much about SEO etc if your doing it through your own website. Bear in mind that there's a lot of competition on there for humerous gig's, so yours will need to stand out in some way.

He's talking about a character created by marketer Kelly Felix. "The Rich Jerk" basically insulted you, looked down on you and belittled you into buying his ebook (really basic affiliate marketing info, IIRC) so you could make as much as him and look down on the poor people, too. Thank you! I just opted in on his site. I love it. I was thanked for having an IQ above 70, then asked to get off his site.

We have a restaurant here in Myrtle Beach called, Dick's Last Resort. The waitstaff insults the guests, gives you dirty looks when you ask for things. There is a wait out the door every night.

Yup. There's hotdog stand in Chicago with it's own reality TV show. The Weiner's Circle. Same thing. They insult the patrons and make you do humiliating gameshow stunts to gain the right to buy your food and tell you to get out if you can't do the stunt. Lines around the corner...lol

You can do freelancer writing, and probably writing to your own sites (like Amazon reviews). You have a catchy title there!

Then monetize that list, offering them funny e-books, postcards etc.

Some new list building strategies right there

This is the easiest thing I could think of right now.
      Hope it helps.
I would think that fiverr would want to limit direct contact. I will check the TOS.
      Thanks for the idea!

Humorous copy...I can see that :-) haha

    Try elance, fiverr, iwriter,

    Especially fiverr.

Write sales and ad copy for other businesses, this could make you decent money, start with things on Fiverr, Elance and Guru.com, then in the meantime try offering some services for free to successful marketers online, this could give you big exposure and if you build a website and blog, create an info product explaining your techniques, you could then move to just offering your services at a premium when you can prove your results, have great testimonials and a following.

Start a curation site and you make the funny, smart comments each post that keep them coming back. Mixed in, you have plenty of things to sell.

It's funny, I seem to have either a smirk or a "get the hell out of here with that camera" look in all my pictures. The smirk is friendlier.

DING, DING, DING!! We have a winner.

We had our first date in Naples near Pompeii, we spent Christmas in Rome. We've visited Milan, Florence, and he asked me to marry him in Puglia.
And now three years later he is in the heart of South Carolina in 100+ degree temps, wondering "WTH was I thinking??"

Okay, I've gotta go feed the alligators. But since you're a wise apple, maybe you can use this. If you're a bona fide smart ass, you've already heard it.

A woman walks into a bar with a duck under her arm.

The bartender says, "Hey, you can't bring that pig in here."

The woman says, "This ain't no pig, it's a duck."

And the bartender says... ready? "I was talking to the duck."

    Budda Boom!
