Hello, I'm using optimizepress but i don't like the blog side of it. I'm also using the canvas theme by ithemes I love that theme..

Ok, I'm doing a niche I'm also Including a blog with it also.. Since i don't want to use the op blog and i want to use the canvas blog.. how can i get them on the same domain name or can I?

I know I can use another domain name for the blog and another domain for the niche squeeze page. I don't really want to go that way.. I also don't want to use the free blogging....

so there would have to be 2 separate wp installs for the blog theme and op...

Please help thanks... I know pretty much the answer to this question but i'm just checking with you guys.... Thanks Yall

If I understand your question would this work for you?

www.YourOptmizedPress.com put it in the root

www.YourOptimizedPress.com/blog/ sub folder for the Canvas blog

Then have a link on both to go back and forth.

You'll need to make two WordPress installations - one of
which will be OptimizePress and the other for the Canvas
    theme.

Given that you'll be having a blog, you could do one install
of WordPress in a subdirectory /blog/ and use your Canvas
    theme for that one.

Then you could create another WordPress installation in the
root of your domain and use the OptimzePress theme for
that one. This would allow you to control all of your squeeze
pages, sales pages, etc from your root domain.

I guess that it comes down to whether you want your main
blog to appear on your root domain, i.e. example.com or in a
    subdirectory, i.e. example.com/blog/

If you'd prefer your blog in the root domain, then use the
Canvas theme there and your OptimizePress theme in a
separate subdirectory. However, all of your subsequent
OptimizePress pages would then have the subdirectory
folder in the URL too, e.g. example.com/op/salespage

    Dedicated to mutual success,

    You already had the answer.

You need one wordpress installation for each entity.

If you're using OP as a membership site, you can create a subdomain 'members' so your site would be like this:

    members.yoursite.com <- membership area
    yoursite.com <- regular blog

If you are using OP mainly for opt-ins, you can just create a generic subdomain such as:

    promos.yoursite.com <- opt-ins

And create as many pages as you need there, which would look like:

    promos.yoursite.com/blogging
    promos.yoursite.com/cpa-marketing
    promos.yoursite.com/warrior-forum

    Etc, etc.

You can never get too many answers so read everything first and then decide for yourself, cheers!
