Dating site - I get 2000 visitors a month but I have 0 sales..need help in restructuring my site

I have a site that ranks pretty well for a competitive keyword, using webmaster tools I see that keyword has around 60,000 impressions a month. I get around 2000 visitors a month but I can't score one sale..its been like this for the past 3 months. I know my sales page could be bad or the product it self but I see this product on Amazon + it has high gravity so I am not sure..

My site has articles and those articles link to a sales page, the users do not go to the sales page, maybe 58 of them go to that page. how should I structure my site? I wish I could post the link but I can't since the keywords will show..does anybody have any experience with dating sites? I am promoting a clickbank product

Break the URL up and we will put it back together so we can see your site.

Cant help you if we don't know what to help you with.

Could be the worst sales page ever. We would never know.

If you're receiving a low CTR to your sales page, then you are probably not pushing the envelope enough to get visitors to your irresistible offer.

.... and that brings me to my next point. Are you making the offer irresistible?

It's incredibly difficult to sell COLD TRAFFIC. You either need extremely good copywriting skills, or you need to warm your visitors up first by building a relationship through email marketing.

Your visitors are probably not far enough along in the buying cycle.

Dating traffic does not convert that well. Obviously that is relative to how targeted it is. But from experience 2000 targeted per day would not even be enough to quit a day job.

    Hey Zaco,

break up your site like blah dot com.. so we can put it together. anyways if you have 2000 visitors, then it much be an issue of probably the following:

    1) visitors brought to your site are not buyers - they just wanna read up some stuff and go

    2) those who could be buyers dont have a clear direction to head on to - Unclear call to action

Firstly you need to know the source of your traffic - if they are coming from google search, then you must know if the keyword that brought them there is a buyer keyword. if its not than the traffic is not valid..

Next you should measure how many of the 2000 are actually going to the CB sales page - with that you can know how many of them are looking into spending

then analyze why are they not spending it there - check if the CB product you are promoting has bad reviews or something. CB is pretty famous now for having "not so good" products.. try changing to a different product..

Most importantly you need to study every aspect of your entire channel - right from your site to the sales page.

    Hope this helped..

Do not hesitate to contact if you need further assistance. Have a nice day

What do you mean by dating site?

When I think of a dating site, I think of a site that you can setup a profile on and find others looking to date.

From your description it seems kind of vague. Are you using articles to promote another actual online dating site?

Have you ever tried promoting cam sites? These convert like crazy these days, but are definitely considered [adult] content.

Would love some more information on the site to really provide more valuable advice. PM me if you prefer.

I suggest reading the comments from Alexa Smith and Myob. They seem to be great advocates of article syndication (for more traffic).

They set up their niche sites with tons of high quality articles and have an opt-in page.
By having 50+ articles on one site, you are viewed as a master on the subject, making it easier to sell because they trust you. A few emails in, a short review/recommendation for a clickbank product is shown.

It's extremely hard to sell cold traffic, but once you have built a relationship with them, the chances of getting sales dramatically increases.

Tip to finding posts by the above:

    google, site:www.warriorforum.com "Alexa Smith"
    "Alexa Smith" "Article Syndication"
    "Myob"
    etc etc

It's kinda difficult to offer constructive help without seeing the URL, so I'll make some general points.

    1) Look at your analytics and see what phrases people are actually using to find your site.

You may find that people are looking for something that you aren't really offering (hence the zero sales and low CTR to your sales page).

You may find that they aren't in a 'buying' frame of mind but you could adapt the content you are already offering to provide more value to these visitors. If this is the case, your main aim should be not to make a sale but to capture an email addy (offer a short course or something that suits what your visitors are offering). You can then sell to these people further down the line.

The first mistake I see in my opinion is asking them to click again once they land on your site to proceed with the buying process.

My site has articles and those articles link to a sales page, the users do not go to the sales page, maybe 58 of them go to that page.

I think the best way to convert your traffic is to gain the trust of your readers. Take out all your aff links in the site. Instead give them a free ebook in exchange for their email address. make an auto responder series (tips, ideas, etc) so that your readers will view you as an authority in the niche. Afterwards, you can slowly recommend products with your aff link or you can sell your own product.
