Aged domains vs non aged

If you wanted to buy a domain with page rank to use to build links to other
sites, is there an advantage to finding a site that isn't expired?

Do expired sites with page rank take some time to get back to where they were were before they expired? If so, about how long?

What's the advantage of aged sites? Is that strictly about search engines favoring for serp rankings?

(I'm guessing that a 17 year old page rank 0 site would pass less link juice on than a one year old page rank 1 site, if all other elements, like the niches, were the same. Yes?)

    Hmm... in your scenario I'd take the 17 year old domain name with a pagerank of zero and then enjoy the massive increase to PR once I added quality content that aligned with the niche of the domain.

    17 year old domain name? Sign me the **** up if the price is right and matches my goals.

    if you think you can have/write/ade quality posts and articles then go for 17 years old doamin. Search Enginees give extra advantage/favor to old domains..

    So, what about an expired domain with PR 4 vs a non expired domain with PR 4, and they are the same age or thereabouts and all other considerations like backlink profiles are more or less equal?

    Is it a big difference to be gained in buying a site with PR that hasn't expired?
