Ranking a Classified Website?

Hey Guys,

I'm working on a new Classified site at the minute and need some help with ranking.

I've ranked quite a few sites for local keywords in the past!

Trouble is, with this new site, There is no text on the homepage as it's really not needed. Was thinking of maybe adding a blog but not too sure how this would help.

Appreciate any help you can offer..

    You know the usual, a very well seo optimised homepage.

    My experience has been that quality is the first thing that Google wants... You can build backlinks but post penguin, quality content has become even more important. Will the content in your homepage always keep changing? If that is the case, you have a plus point there (One thing I learnt while creating Squidoo lenses is that the lenses which I kept updating regularly ranked higher in Google and brought more organic traffic).

      Hi,

      Yes, the content as in the "ads" will be updated daily but as I said, there is no actual text on the homepage.
