Best exit-pop marketing strategy?

Wanted people to weigh in on what they think is the best approach to using an exit pop on a salesletter. For the purposes of this thread, I'm not talking about having a squeeze page in the exit funnel... just approaches to close the sale. So some questions to spark the conversation:
- What offers have worked best for you? Discount? Trials? How much of a discount? Etc.?
- 1 exit pop vs. 2 (or more)?
- What language on the actual pop up window?
- What language on the pop up pages?
- Include the full salesletter again with a message on top vs. just a short page and an order link?
- Any examples you think are stellar?
