If I absolutely had to have the money I'd just reach out to my existing clients and offer to write for half my normal rate for them if they can pay me today.

I think e-sex work is the way to go To all those that recommended selling stuff online: selling is not making money but you are losing it. In technicality, when you sell stuff for a much cheaper price so that you will get money immediately, your net worth becomes low.

I've tried ebay sales and failed horribly. I tried selling a very rare and good vinyl, but it wouldn't sell. I have read tons of books on how ebay can make you money. I obviosuly didn't read it too well.

Are there certain things that sell and others that don't?

it helps to keep at it you just keep goin no matter what, people make purchases on ebay either based on emotion or because of value but the value is more on the end of age or necessity or want not necessarily current value as in your vinyal perhaps altho i dont know the age. you have to build up a reputation thats why you don't stop. my friend and i sell on ebay have been since early 2000's she says, " theres a buyer out there for everything i've got".

you can't take it personal if it doesn't sell sometimes there is no rhyme or reason

Presuming you have no money and nothing to sell your firsts step is to find something free with resell rights. These kind of items are all over the warrior forum (WSO section, classifieds, and make money (which is really free ebooks section). I recommend you look for something that does a good job explaining "How To Get Massive Traffic". Next search the search engines and youtube for how to put your product online. (join paypal as premium) No out of pocket so far. (You should take an hour and a half to do all this no more then 3 hours). Note there is plenty of free hosting out there to get started with don't stress over that. A subdomain is fine too.

Follow the instructions in the book and don't stop until you have the money in your paypal. Take Massive action

note: you can also do this with an affiliate product but most forums and article directories, website directories and other places prefer a domain name.

Plan to buy a domain name out of your earnings. Then start building a list "imnica mail" is free for the first thousand subs I believe. If you can buy a good list building course off a WSO.

Sell something on craigslist. Not just some regular old junk that I have kicking around, but something with a cheap retail price at say Walmart. Then I would post it for 2 times the cost and have it gone by the evening. This works particularly well for the lamps that walmart has for sale. 4 for $50. Sells real well for $125 on CL.

  If you were asking me "personally", at the moment I don't have to do anything, and I would most likely make at least $20 today. (Just how I have certain things set up).
  (In fact, I have a bit of a "bad" addiction in which case I am constantly checking my e-mail to see if I've made any sales at that time).
  
  However. If you mean brand spanking new. AND it had to be on the internet. Probably an outsourcing site, but offering quality services dirt cheap (since you would be an 'unknown'). And contact as many people as possible for work.

I would increase my budget using instant pay affiliate programs then use free means to get in front of prospects e.g. classified sites, forums, yahoo answers and part of my day I would be setting up some free passive income with free methods like youtube, squidoo etc.

These methods cost nothing but time.

Or I would check out CLICK HERE and do what Rocky said.

If I couldn't leverage my existing resources or spend any money.

Then here's what I'd do:
1) sign up to every single freelancing site I could find
2) make a kick ass profile listing all my skills and using a nice pic of myself and include any references I had.
3) post the profile up to the sites
4) bid on every single project I thought I could do writing meanful cover letters for each job and really trying to reach out to the employer in a personal and friendly way.

After a day of this I'd have at least 100 bucks maybe even more depending on the jobs I scored.

Thats a difficult one if you are starting out for the first time.No list or something. For me i would take the $20 and go somewhere to advertise promising people that i would set-up a blog for them within the next 24hrs at no fee only if they register with my affiliate link. IF you use bluehost for this you will be paid $65 for each referral, you only need 3 people to make this happen.

It would be almost impossible to make money overnight if you are starting from scratch and do not have any money to invest. I would, however suggest that if you have any talent at all, advertise it for free on Craigs list. It may take a few days but this would be a good strategy. Make sure you advertise in small cities without too much competition for what you are offering.

Well - I've been having some pretty good success recently with CPA marketing - I simply find good converting offers from one of the many CPA networks (easy) then find hungry forums where people are looking for help and include my CPA link. Then watch the money follow - CPA is a very easy and quick way to make money online.

I thought of a few more ways.

I'd email five people I know, each of which would be happy to give me $100 if I said I needed it. No strings attached.

Or I could email a fellow merchant who has paid me before for writing articles. Pretty sure he'd give me $100 for two amusing 300-word blog posts.

Do you see the common thread? Relationships.

For some reason these little games always seem to assume you don't know anybody and you're on a desert island with a keyboard and a realllly slow satellite connection.

Oh, I know the real purpose behind all this, though we mostly pretend it isn't so. Somebody's looking for the Internet Cash Machine. I know it's around here somewhere, must have left it in my other pants.

I'd approach local merchants and offer a low-cost improvement to their online visibility. I'd ask 50% up front and pick up the rest on completion of the work... and then I'd complete the work in the next three or four hours.

Other than that, I'd recommend the threads others have already linked to.

The best way to make that kind of money in a hurry is different from what you should do to earn that kind of money every day, once you have a business model set up.

If it's a gotta-have-cash-in-hand-today, you'll do best with face-to-face transactions, delivering something related to local business SEO. And then, offer a ridiculously low price for whatever you're doing.

Make the terms clear from the outset, so you don't waste your time: 50% up front, and the balance on delivery. No online payments, no credit cards, no cheques (unless they're on a local bank and the bank will be open when you complete the work), no PayPal, etc., just payment in cash. And, get that in writing. (Show up with a professional-looking invoice already printed with the terms spelled out, and you'll simply fill in the blanks with what you're delivering for how much money.)

If ego and humility weren't in play, the best idea I have would be to write up a sign and stand at a busy street corner holding it up to traffic.

Desperation produces strong emotions. If you're a good copywriter then you can plug into that and write something that's under 8 words that would make people give you $5 or less.

With the right message I would imagine that you could have $100 in your pocket within 2 hours.

Eibhlin in post #52 gave a really good gem....Let me add that there are many local businesses that have videos on their site but they are not optimizing them at all on sites like YouTube where they can gain visibility for local keywords. So all you need to do is approach them and offer to get their video on page 1 on google for "city/town name + service" keyword.

All you have to do is take their existing video and optimize them for their geographic keyword....Most of their competition is even doing this so it should be extremely easy to rank well.

So use Eibhlin's approach and add this twist to it!

You will have more than enough to choose from starting with just dentists and doctors....

I would send an email out to everybody in the world with a bulk mailing asking if they could hold my uncle Bens (who's the king of Nigeria if I may add) money (totaling $1,000,000,000,000 ruppes) and all I need is an initial $20 for the transaction to go threw.

I would start by looking in the Warriors for hire section to see if there is anyone hiring asap.
I would also look on digital points forum for some quick and easy writing jobs.
I would apply to several people and jobs and then I would complete the jobs for cash.

If you have a bit of money to invest I would put $20 here on the forum to open a service on the Warriors for hire thread. Put the link in your sig and get posting you will surely make that amount in one night.

Online poker could make you it (I used to play poker online and make money that way on the Internet until I turned to internet marketing). But you could also lose your start up cash.

Given I would have my list and the connections I have now, I would use these resources to make the money.

If I had nothing but my computer at hand, I would try selling a service on Craigslist and ask the buyer to send money up front.

With my personal connections I would call existing clients offering a service on a "special". I could easily get some deposit payments on the same day.

However If I had no contacts or no money and was in desperate need of the cash then I would sell stuff on Ebay.
