I would go for the niche that is proven with sales. Easier money.

As for your niche you love, are there ANY products on the market related to it? Could you create your own infoproduct in the niche? If so, pursue that option if you like.

    Agree with above.

I will go farther in saying some of the nichest I love most are far too competitive for me to ever want to market in. Maybe I'll try to sell something on ebay or lead people off facebook but as far as getting a site ranked in those niches I wouldn't even try.

If you really want to make money long term with small niches, you will need to rank quite a few. That automatically tells you many of these niches you will NOT be passionate about.

Although I often question why people need to be passionate about a given niche. I thought it was enough to just be passionate about money. =]

Afterall, thats why we are all here anyway, to learn how to make more of it.

i have created my own info product on list building , because i know there is a lot of interest in this chosen area.

I am struggling however on the sales platform i should use.

    Its a list building blueprint ... 27 pages ... valued at 5-7 $

Im aiming at giving 100% affiliate commissions , because im looking to create a buyer list , not make money really..

Should i produce this product as a wso , or go through clicksure , clickbank etc ?

Is this list building blueprint a product related to your first question? (a niche you don't know about or are passionate about?)

I think you can sell it here on the WarriorForum as you can directly get people to your offer. I think the ClickBank fee for listing a product is $49, while WarriorPlus is $19 per listing or 2.5% per sale. JVZoo is $17 per listing or 5% per sale. (Warriors correct me if I'm wrong).

list building is a niche that i know is popular and profitable ..

I have had past experience with list building but not on a "guru" level , the information i have provided however is good and informative and can help a newbie with their email marketing campaigns

I have originally been going with the idea of creating a sales page , jv page and selling it on clicksure , using affiliate traffic to generate sales ... that was my original plan...

But others are now saying sell it as a product with resale rights ... so im not sure

    maybe i should do both?

Passion helps with regards to the fact you can come up with more content without struggling as you are interested in the topic... But a combination of passion / interest and a niche with customers is always good. Simple niche research just to the lobrary / book stall and check the magazines, they are all profitable niches and if you like one of them you can start with that , else there is always the BIGGES --> Relationship, finance, Health --> Lookign good, stronger etc, Treatments for health issues and you can go in to a smaller aspect of these niches

I think passion is a bit overrated, quite frankly. But if you don't, the simple solution is this:

Become passionate about creating a successful online business.

The minutiae involved then becomes secondary, i.e. the niche or system. I am an advocate, however, of having knowledge about a niche you propose to enter. A bit of expertise that is gained from intensive study or pursuit, not just reading and rehashing other IMers.

I am sure many grizzled veterans of IM can attest to the surge that has no doubt taken place in the last few years and the Gold Rush of people thinking that a computer, an internet connection and a website is all anyone needs to be successful - that it is easy money just laying around for anyone to scoop up.

And when failure comes to the masses, an oft chimed cliche seems to be, "You got to pick a niche you are passionate about." Poppycock.

Passion is a pretty strong word. There should be very few things in your life you are truly passionate about, else the word loses its meaning, and many of them won't make you a dime.

What you passionate about makes it easier for you to write articles, eBook and make videos....; however, you do need to research and see if there's a hungry market for it. If it's not a great market, you might need lots of time to advertise it.

I recently have found that that obscure niches are the easiest money! You don't need to be passionate about it, just the ability to learn.

As for the List building niche, very very competitive! your product will have to be very unique or you will be giving refunds, mainly because you just have to look at peoples sigs to see that all the info on list building is being given away for free, unless you have a method no one else is using people will not buy at the market is pretty saturated.

My biggest turn in fortunes was the day I moved away from the MMO and IM niche and started looking at the obscure! The worlds a big place, most niches are profitable with a bit of out the box thinking, and once you've built a list in other niches, who's to say you can't occasionally promote some MMO stuff to them every now and then! everyone loves money no matter what niche they are in!

You should strike a balance between the two. It is possible to go into a profitable niche that you're passionate about and know something about. One of the first niches I went into as an affiliate marketer was the learn Spanish niche. It's not only a profitable niche but one I also have a passion for and know something about. The cool thing is that it took very little research. I was in the niche myself and even had used some popular products as a student of the language. I was basically able to type from my head.
