Profitable Niche?? Help please

Hello Warriors,

I have been into design and development business from past few years. I have resources i.e Content writers, researchers, link builders, SEO team and development team.

I want to launch 8-10 websites and use the resources for 6 months. My questions are:

1) Which niche should i select?
2) Will i be able to generate enough amount after 6 months to pay these resources (Currently i am investing $1000+ on them on total risk)

3) Can i find someone willing to offer his/her experience for a share from profit?

NO IDEA where and how to start!!!

Looking forward to your assistance.

Well you could start by choosing one of the big three niches, Health, Wealth or love/happiness. These are evergreen niches and if you choose a sub-niche of one of these you won't go far wrong.

As far as a business model well that's a little more difficult to answer but seeing as you have a team at your disposal I would say start building great content. Add this to a site to start getting traffic and then consider creating products that have been researched by your team. Just an idea

    start building great content
Would that be profitable in any niche? What about high paying niches and monitization?

I am thinking about launching a "VS" website which will have comparison of everything like
    iphone VS samsung Galaxy.

    How about that?

The downside of that type of site is that your content becomes obsolete quite quickly as new products come on to the market. In an ideal world, trying to find evergreen content would be a better use of your time, in my opinion.

This is really a 2 STEP Process.

    1. First off, list the things in your life that you're passionate about....

Make the list from top to bottom

    2. Find out whether or not the niche is profitable

To do this, simply run a bunch of keywords through GAKT or Market Samurai or other keyword software

Take a look at the CPC of each keyword. If the number is high, then companies are spending money to advertise in this niche. If people are spending money for traffic, then they must be making money on the niche.

    What about the competition level?

When I first started making money online, I was constantly battered down by the idea that some niches are too competitive. But you are not necessarily trying to represent the entire niche, you can target a small section of a niche that is unprofitable.

It's not about finding low competition niches. It's about finding low competition keywords in topics of high profitability.

Ie. Dating, weight loss, fitness, MMO are all BIG enough for another marketer. Just pick keywords that are appropriate for your offer.

I would start with one niche and exploit it first, put it on autopilot... then go and conquer another niche. It's better to focus on 1 site at a time rather than 10 sites at a time.

I will go with adsense site with high paying keyword and affiliate site with high paying commission products.

I agree focus on one niche at a time. Find a profitable niche and work on that until you can see a return for your efforts. Then move to the next one.

Sub or micro niches are the easier than the main niche.

The Finance niche is profitable but very competitive.

When it comes to a niche, the only real criteria are that it's profitable and one you have some interest in. It also helps if you know something about the niche you go into. The latter parts of the year are the most profitable for marketers, so your options are really wide open.

I currently work in the "make money" niche. There's stuff going on all the time. I've also worked in the "dating" niche -- tons of stuff to promote. I've also worked in the "gardening" niche and "learn Spanish" niche. The "dating" and "learn Spanish" niches took the least amount of research for me. I mostly just had to learn about the products since I had a good idea what the people in the niches were like.

Education, Finance and SEO are some of the prominent domains I can think of.Of course there are many others like Health, pharmas, sports, gaming, etc. It depends on which part of the globe you want to offer your product/services for.Education online is beginning to boom especially in Asia and Africa.Finance is an ever green subject and you need to explore sub-niches and again sub-niches depend on the geography you target. I dont know if you are looking to build a product, service or just an information website.

You need to learn keyword research to start with.

Also what are you going to sell in your niche? How are you going to drive traffic? There are more (and in my opinion better) ways to drive traffic than SEO which sounds like what you're planning on using.

Are you going to offer affiliate products? Create your own product?

It's good to like your niche, but realistically how potentially profitable the niche is should trump likability especially if you have the ability to outsource things like content creation.

A lot of good comments from the posters before me but I'd just add that you should also really consider what you are good at, i.e. in which niche will you have the knowledge and know how which you can use to benefit others?

If you have a solution for people in a high demand niche which they can't find elsewhere and they'd be willing to pay for it, that's where you'll make the money.

You should make one authority site, which includes all the niche like an article directory, web directory, review site, shopping site etc.. this would really be good.
