Wild Horses
by Chris W. Sutton
Icicles cast a prismatic reflection from the soft glow of sunshine across the snow covered valley. There is a stillness in the air that seems reverent, somehow, almost sacred. The crisp, cold breeze whispers among the trees as soft, silent snow falls from their branches. The only sound to be heard is the sound of silence!

All of a sudden, the stillness is broken by the sound of pounding as if thunder moved across the valley. Snow flying from under their swiftly moving hooves, a herd of wild horses comes charging into the clearing. Their manes flying wildly in the wind behind them, the herd of wild Mustangs roars across the wintry landscape. Where did they come from and where are they going? What is their purpose and what is their goal? Ahh, but there is a pondering that, for now, must remain a mystery.

One thing we do know...for some reason, we are drawn to them! What is their mystique? What is that aura of mystery? What is that mystical power that brings out a longing within us? Maybe, it's their gentle dignity. Maybe, it's their tireless strength. Maybe, it's their fierce love of freedom. You can just...almost...touch it. Wait, I have it! It's their... SPIRIT!

Spirit is something that inspires! Spirit is something that is magnetic! Spirit is charismatic! Spirit is something that other people just can't ignore! Spirit is...well, spirit is...ATTITUDE!

How would you like to have an attitude like that? An attitude where people are just naturally attracted to you? An attitude where you inspire other people? An attitude where people just naturally like you? Wouldn't that be great to be that kind of person that brings out the best in others? Well, the truth is that you already are that kind of person!

Every single one of you reading this article has the potential to be so very much more than you are right now! You have every single thing you need to be magnetic, inspiring and well-liked. The big problem is that most of you just don't realize that you already have it!

When you break it down into its most basic component, your attitude is how you perceive things. It's how you look at the things around you. It's how you look at your circumstances. If you change the way you look at things, you change your life!

Do away with the negative in your life. Stop thinking negative thoughts. Take every thought captive and analyze it in the light of truth. Stop telling yourself you are stupid...because you aren't! Stop telling yourself you are ugly...because you aren't! Stop telling yourself you are a failure...because you aren't!

Start thinking and speaking only positive things! Speak positive things about yourself. Speak positive things over your family. Speak positive things to your friends. Speak positive things to strangers. You will be amazed at the changes that will bring in your life!

Life goes around just once! Enjoy it to its fullest. Happiness is a choice! Do things that you wouldn't ordinarily do such as...

...sing as if no one were listening
...dance as if no one were watching
...live as if you will die tomorrow
...love as if you have never been hurt
...dream as if it were real
...forgive as if you had never been wronged

Become an artist and paint your life as if it were a painting by Van Gough. Make it beautiful. Make it priceless. Make it remembered by those who come after. Make it a masterpiece!

Ahhh, the spirit of those wild horses! We all have that spirit buried deep, down inside us. Open yourself up to the goodness of life. Set your spirit soaring to heights you have only dreamed of and go where you have always been afraid to go. The chains of your bondage are of your own making and you are free to run loose. Let those horses run!!!

I have an report I have sold in the past that is geared towards helping people change their lives for the better. I want to give everyone a free copy of the report and, if you have bought this from me in the past, let me know and I will refund your money.

Maybe this will help you and maybe not but I certainly hope it does. It does have a link to my newsletter but signups are irrelevant to me. THAT is not the purpose of this free gift. I just feel like trying to make a difference in someones life. Here it is and I hope you enjoy it...

      Chris,

Thank you so much for the kind gesture!

I loved your Wild Horses ... I saved it to my computer so that I can read it over a few times more ... many lessons in there I know I should follow, but keep forgetting - falling back into old habits.

    Hi Barbara,

I'm glad you liked the story! I know how hard it can be to overcome the obstacles we encounter in our attempt to make things better but you just have to ask yourself, "How bad do you want it?" You have to want it bad enough. Take care!

Chris, thank you very much for the gift. I have a 9 year old daughter, who has everything going for her. She's very attractive, athletically talented, confident and extroverted, and academically gifted.... and is one of the most negative, pessimistic people I've ever met!!

I printed out your report, and gave it to her to read in the car while we were driving to swimming lessons. What an attitude adjustment! Admittedly, it's still only day 1 and tomorrow is another day, but her spirits have lifted, and she's become very generous and much happier. She loved your writing, particularly the story of the Land of Happiness.

The report is beside her bed, and I'll be gently suggesting she go back and reread it when she starts to slide back into her usual pattern of behaviour. We very much appreciate you sharing!

Thanks, everyone, for those nice comments.

    Audrey,

I am thrilled that your daughter made the connection. It makes my day when I hear stories like that. It will do no good to just read it one time and then forget it. Thanks again!

Mother's day is coming up fast and is a day that mothers should be honored for the sacrifices made and love given without expectation when raising her children. People sometimes get wrapped up in their own life, worried about legitimate issues from making dinner to working and forget what the mother in their life does or did to make work out the way it should.

One should not forget on Mother's Day that from the day, of time mothers have put their children first, ensuring that they were safe, healthy, and happy. Mothers give up many things, including their careers because being at home with their children is what they feel is best for their children. However, this is not to say that working mothers do not sacrifice for their children. Some mothers due to various financial reasons do without their wants and desires in order to allow their children the opportunity to play a sport, go to camp, or even to have clothes to wear.Sacrifices like these should not be ignored, especially on Mother's Day. Flowers, cards, and candy would be appreciated, but on Mother's Day think beyond what is easy and convenient. Women tend to be more sentimental than men, so if the woman is a mother of young children, a gift to immortalize her children at their present age is appropriate. Many of these type items can be found at a local arts and crafts
store. One such item is a garden walking stone kit. The kit comes complete with a mold and concrete that when mixed up and poured allows for a child to imprint their hands or feet. Once dried, the child can decorate it with paint or other craft items. If the mother is not an outdoor type person or does not live in an area where a garden walking store would be appropriate, any other Mother's Day gift that a child makes will be treasured. If an arts and craft project is chosen for Mother's Day, be sure look for a kit. A kit will come complete with everything that is needed to finish the Mother's Day project. This will avoid having to purchase everything individually, which usually leads to a higher price and also there will not be an opportunity to forget something.

If creativity is not a forte then a Mother's Day gift of relaxation is always an option. Cleaning the house or even hiring a housecleaner once or twice would make just about any mother happy on Mother's Day. Of course, some moms just need a break. These moms tend to take care of everyone, but themselves. A Mother's Day gift to a spa or a weekend getaway with friends is the perfect gift for these moms. If a spa or weekend getaway is not option then think about letting mom have the whole house to herself for a day or some moms may even enjoy taking a shower without being interrupted.

A "Happy Mother's Day" phone call or card to say thanks for everything you've ever done truly is enough for most mothers. All that really matters on Mother's Day is that she is remembered, regardless of the gift given.

It is a free article and can be used by any webmaster on their website, provided they will keep the link Ecard4all.com intact with the article.

      Thanks for those kind words.

For all you new people out there trying to make a living online, just remember that a very large part of becoming successful is... attitude! You CAN change your life if you work at it. Seriously! Change doesn't come easy but it is certainly worth the effort!

      Take care!
