Solo Ad Sales Funnel - What Works Best?

Hey all,
I'm about to start testing some solo ads for the first time. I will test different sales funnels but to give myself a head start I thought I would ask you all what works best for you.

I'm thinking - single opt-in to sales page and they will have to confirm to get the free ebook i will be offering.
or
Single opt-in to ebook which contains links to the sales page.
or
double opt to get the ebook.
For starters.

Any ideas or advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Brent

    hey brent

i use single opt in all the time now and then redirect them to a oto straight after

i dont offer an ebook, i like to offer free offers which come in courses where i can send over a period of days so that i can condition my subscribers to opening my emails

i also use an upsell too

if they dont buy my oto they then get my first email which is the first day of there free course

That's a good idea. I used to offer mini-courses and then I switched niches and got into giving free ebooks.

      Now I'm niche jumping again.

I think I will try the Opt - OTO - must confirm for mini-course to start.

      Thanks for the info.

Any more suggestions will be appreciated.

If you use single opt-in on freebie seekers the complain rate it often way to high.

Exactly, and if the subscriber didn't bother enough to confirm his subscription then I guess he won't care to open your emails not even buying from you.

What I do is splitting the course I am giving them over the course of days (5-7 days) and tell them to anticipate the links in their emails. Thus they have to confirm and wait for my emails and OPEN them and CLICK the links on them.

I prefer to get subscribers who agree to these terms, if they didn't like it, then it's okay but stay AWAY from my list please.

      That's my two cents

it all depends how you treat your lists

if your sending them pure garbage and no value then of course people are going to complain

when was the last time you complained about receiving quality information?

its always going to be the same. For some people single opt in works great but others may get a lot of complaints

different strokes for different folks as they say

Your free offer has to be really enticing in order for people to sign up. The OTO should definitely come after the free offer if you want to maximize the visitors on your opt in page. You can just give a report or better still, split up the information in the e-book into small chunks, chapter by chapter and send it out as a tutorial.

Single opt-in has its advantages but I prefer double
opt-in. How about double opt-in with an O.T.O or some
product that people can buy right after they sign-up
    for the e-book?

I would say try to sell your stuff at first attempt, if they don't buy then send them periodical email.
