What comes after a squeeze page?

I have been trying to figure out exactly what to put after my new squeeze page.

I have a product I'm selling that will be driven through the sales funnel.

As far as I can tell, there are 3 possible options:

1. A screen that says "Hey go confirm your e-mail to receive your bonus!". This is usually crap. No one wants to jump through flaming hoops to get some 15 page ebook no matter how great it might be.

2. A redirect page that simply says "We sent your report, now check out this offer!". I like this the best because it gets them to the sales page ASAP and lets them check out the free report and follow up series later.

Am I right?

3. A thank you page where they can download the full report. This is pretty standard. My problem with this is it gets them too focused on the report and not enough on the full product.

Sure, read the report, but check out this sales page first, am I right?

No but seriously, what do you put after a squeeze page?

after a squeeze page? a squash page! :p

but what I do is I put a low priced offer, $3-$7 priced report, which makes some of them into buyers.

No one might want to, but they will do.

I do this often, but depends on my strategy per list.

Too focused on report? you promote the full product via the email series. The report is to get them to enter your funnel.

      Nifty!

      Perhaps I'll try that sometime.

What you put on the page after the visitor first opts-in
depends upon what your main goal is...

If you're building a confirmed opt-in list, then your goal
is likely to get them to click the link in their e-mail so
focus your page on getting them to do that.

If you're running a single opt-in list, then you can focus
them on a related offer so orient your page around that.

    I wouldn't recommend re-directing people to a page where
they can download the report right away because some
people enter false details. Instead, send them the link to
    the download in the e-mail.

    Dedicated to mutual success,

      That's what I figured!

Glad to know other people are somewhat on the same page.

What has worked best for me is to send them directly
to your presentation video or main information sales page.
If the prospect is serious they will still go check their
    email and confirm their subscription.
Usually it takes some follow up email to get the sale or sign up.

You really could have kept both your threads isolated to one.

Just a note for the future.

    1) Put your sales page right after your squeeze page

    -or-

    2) Put a bridge page with the content you promised.

Ex. Eben Pagan had a squeeze page in the dating market that said something like "Enter your name and email for the kiss test"

Then the page after that is a small article explaining the "kiss test". At the bottom of the market there's a link that says "Continue"

The page after this bridge page was the sales page.

I would put a "Confirm your subscription, but see what else we have to offer" after your squeeze page.

Be careful not having a double optin; Mark Ling lost 100,000 subscribers because AWeber shut down that list. You will also get more spam complaints because people will put in someone else's address.

It also isn't true that people won't confirm. If they're curious enough, they will. I know because I have. What I hate, though, is marketers saying, "Go get this free product from another list owner" and I have to opt in to someone else. And before you know it, you're subscribed to a dozen lists.
