Hey WF,

Can I get a little help on solo ads? I see a lot for sale but what are they?

What I know: you pay for an email blast to a list.

What I don't know: Are they just typically lists of online buyers or just leads? Are they industry specific? What are they targeted to hit?

Any help explaining would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

you basically buy an ad from someone elses email list

as long as you choose good solo ads then they will be a mixture of buyers and prospects

prices range from as little as $30 for 100 unique clicks to $2000 for 4000 clicks

the key with profiting with solo ads is to use proven solo ads which send quality traffic and to make sure you have a good converting squeeze page set up and a good converting OTO (one time offer)

plus you need to have a half decent sales funnel along with good segmentation of your lists when they buy

solo ads work great for fast traffic and building your list but like anything in Internet Marketing they do take a bit of practice to master :-)

      Thanks for the info Paul.

So when you say "Buyers".... they are buyers of what? just general buyers of anything online? or specific to "how to make money online" type people?

      Thanks!

buyers of what you sell as your "one time offer"

or any product which you sell for that matter

once they buy you need to move them to a customers list

A good place to look for quality lists for your solo ads would be ezines/online newsletters. If you google your product with ezine or newletter at the end. i.e.online marketing ezine or online marketing newsletter. It's a good idea to join the ezine to check out the content and frequency of the newsletter before asking about doing solo ads with them. Some advertise prices within the ezine and the all important question is how many subscribers they have? But as Paul said it's all a learning curve. I am relatively new to this and what I have written is the advice from my mentors in the industry.
Good luck and I hope that helps.

Everything is variable. Every list is totally different from the next. Some people have great lists and some people have garbage lists. I suggest that you start small and work your way up!

OP, Kim roach has explained solo ads and many other traffic generation strategies in war room in a great detail.

Just search for her name and you'll find a thread title something like " copy my exact strategy to get 1000 visitors a day"

I believe that thread will answer your question precisely.

    Hope it helps

Solo ads are normally pretty targeted - as people have already indicated they are interested in solo ad providers niche.

Sometimes there is confusion between solo-ads and newsletter / ezine ads. A newsletter / ezine ad can be the same as a solo ad (a blast of your swipe email to an email list), but will sometimes just be a classified ad or pop up that goes out with an ezine.

You have to be a little bit careful when buying solo ads...

I find that it's always a good idea to ask the solo-ad provider whether their list would be good for your offer. If you send out (for example) a list building offer to a list that's primarily interested in building amazon sites, your opt-ins and conversions from your thank-you offer probably won't be that good!

Actual solo-ad testimonials (not just ad-swaps, and more than just 1 testimonial) that show evidence of good opt-ins and conversions should be on their sales page (that something I look for anyway!).

I got scammed quite recently so watch it and do your research.
