Income from IM for Charitable Donation

I was just wondering if any marketers out there have any sites set up to primarily earn income for a charity, ie they don't see any of the money themselves or if they do they donate it all to the said charity.

I know this would be dependant on different countries but what would the tax implications be with this?

    I've never set up a site solely for charity but my intent is for 5-10% of my next two site's income to go to a charity that I'd like to partner with. Gotta do what you can to help.

      Just thinking that a good monetized site, which is obviously bringing in a nice monthly sum, would be a great cashflow vehicle for a charity.

        It's likely that most charities would rather you own the site and collect the money and then make a donation to the charity.

        As for tax implications, should be the same as any other charitable contribution...but as always check with your tax professional.

          I suppose that way you could choose how many charities to donate to rather than one site for each specific charity.

            Sure. Also, I'm on the BOD for a local charitable organization and any potential liability from being directly associated with the money making web property would be a concern.

    I've set up a site to do just that. Not really heavily promoted it yet as still newbie. Just seemed a good start. promote through friends/facebook. Intention is to offer the servie to schools so that parents can donate without extra spend. Hopefully Kharma will kick me over some good luck. w w w warmfuzzyfeeling . org incase any one wants to offer any tips.
