Best payment processor? Clickbank - ejunkie - paypal?

Hey guys I'm just about to launch a new product soon and honestly I can't decide which service to use. Ejunkie seems like its ok however it doesn't have a great affiliate network from what I've read clickbank is awesome though they got lots of fees. I don't understand how paypal works, I am mainly going to try and sell my product by myself but creating my own payment process is not something I have the technical skills for nor would I attempt to do so even if I did, but paypal is really annoying I would love to use it however its seriously not clear on their site how I'm supposed to set everything up. I'm selling an ebook so basically They have a bunch of different products for that like payflo pro and payflo link however its really confusing for me because it seems like its free and they just charge you the 2.9% and 30 cents however when I try to set it up it begins to charge me for the payflo link which is the easier version of the payflo pro yet it costs me somewhere between $200 to like $800 I'm seriously confused guys :s, should I just stick with clickbank and pay that premium and are there any other added benefits of clickbank you guys can maybe share with me .

Any reply is appreciated, Thanks in advance

whatever payment processor you choose you need to get in contact with them, preferably by phone and explain to them that you will potentially have a large influx of sales coming in.

As a new customer they might freeze your account if you have loads of sales coming in. However if you get in contact and explain the nature of your business then there should be no problem.

I recommend paypal, simply because it is the most popular one on the Internet which makes it easier for people to pay you in a safe manner, however their account limitations can be a hassle when they occur, so make sure you set up a business account from day 1.

I am using Paypal since 2008.
I'd recommend PayPal as a processor as well, but the bolded statement is far from correct. There are thousands of posts on the subject just on this forum alone .

e-Junkie is not a payment processor. It's a product delivery system.

Thanks for the replies guys, yes Alexa it is how does it work it just redirects customers to a a secured paypal payment page and then delivers the product after purchase? and Ella1 how did you set up the payflo gateway or what did you use for that matter can I use any of their free products because I'm primarily selling digital goods, how will my customers be able to download them after purchase? They get their transactions fees anyways and its very low also.

thank so much again this forum rocks

This is the general idea ... but it doesn't have to be PayPal. e-Junkie can also be integrated with Google Checkout, Authorize.net, TrialPay, ClickBank or 2Checkout.

If you're selling, and want to be able to take PayPal payments from customers without actually using your own PayPal account to collect them, ClickBank, Plimus and 2Checkout are three options that might interest you, as they all have the facility to let retail customers pay by PayPal while having other ways of passing funds on to their merchant-clients.

What's wrong with PayPal? It's the easiest to use... and you can direct to a download page after someone has purchased your product.

Steve Mount I need to talk to someone like you . So how does it actually work, I need a business account right? And then once they purchase it, its that easy? I think I just read too much of paypals product options because they required like a 300$ set up fee for a similar product. You use it to sell digital downloads and its free? Then you just get the transaction fees which is 2.9% and 30 cents, I have got to look into this some more

thank you very much for clearing my confusion

        This is incorrect.

You can use it to collect the money from the sales of digital dowloads.

        That's different.

You'll perhaps think I'm being terribly pedantic about it, but the reality is that your failure to use these words precisely and differentiate between their meanings is what's making you a little confused about the whole thing (and is also perhaps why you imagined that e-Junkie is a payment processor).

If you sell your products yourself and use PayPal to collect the money for them, you're selling them, not PayPal. PayPal is not (unlike ClickBank, for example) a retailer. It's only a payment processor.

Ok well I think you and I are both confused in different ways. Are you asking for a good payment processor? Or a good affiliate database to launch your product? Two different things.

Either way, if you want a simple page with a buy button that will re-direct to your product after they've purchased, you can easily set that up in PayPal with a Premiere account. You don't have to pay, it's free.

In addition to what's been said above, when first establishing your PayPal account leave at least 25% of your sales in your account to cover potential refunds until PP can be assured you are a good customer. I find I have no problems if I maintain a regular withdrawal schedule. I transfer funds every Tuesday afternoon every week like clockwork but only if that 25% of average weekly sales balance is maintained.

Yes, or if any hacked PayPal account send money to you.
So if any hacker buy your stuff, its not your fault, but they suspend your account. Its just not fair!

Well, "PayPal is a safer, faster, more secure way to pay online – your financial details are never shared. We remember everything for you, safeguarding your bank, credit or debit card details".

"You can use PayPal to pay for items on eBay, or at any of the thousands of retailers that accept PayPal".

Just like Paypal quote, I think it's best for me because there's a 3days process before any transaction occur and you have a secured guarantee.
