Buy five online service related domain names (about $50) (i.e. twitter followers, youtube views, facebook fans, google +1, seo, backlinks) and build a simple service related site, then flip them on flippa.com ($100) and now you have $50.00 left over. Plus about $75-$200 per site you sold. Then rinse, repeat.

Your $200 is now between $425 - $1,050. and that's just week #1! Now do it again.

    Good luck, best of success!
    Peace.

This is a very good idea. You cannot think anything better. You will find many scam offers in internet but do not be trapped on them. Your money and time, both will be in vain.

There are a TON of ways to do this. I think what is more important is what way you want to go. Do you want to continue to provide a service, do you want to be an affiliate, or do you want to create your own product?

        Let me inform you.

If you find the right product/campaign, you can spend that $200 and bank over 1k in a day via adwords. It could be used as leverage to someones list.

You may not even have to "work hard" to do it.

But without knowing the OP's other skills, talents and desires of a long term business strategy, it's hard to direct them to the better options on how to invest that money.

            Aha.

Well, I can give you some things you'll want to consider in your own product.

            1. You should budget for a domain name and some hosting.

            2. You should budget for an autoresponder.

            3. Depending on what kind of product you plan to make - IE do you want to make a PDF or a video series on "how to make ebook covers" or do you want to hire out and have some software made that assists others in making ebook covers or do you want to tackle a completely different niche all together?

Write up what the product is, and most importantly how will it help me - and who specifically will it help? Will the people who it will help have money to spend on buying your product?

            4. Decide where/how you want to sell this product. For example if you want to run it through clickbank there will be some costs posting there - but somewhere like JVZoo is free to list a product

            5. Consider how people will access your product, and have some security measures in place. This may require a purchase of some specific plugin or software.

            6. Will you be offering your product someplace like here? If so, budget for the posting price.

            7. Can you write up your own sales copy or will you need to hire someone to do that?

One way to know what a product needs is to write up the sales page FIRST before even making the product. This way you have bullet points in place and you know exactly what you need to make sure you cover.

This list is very brief, but if you know you want to make a product then this is where you should be focusing your attention. Make the "to do" list, make a budget, and get going!

If the OP makes the list, he will then have the choice to decide if a $200 budget works for him or if he needs to raise more money.

Popping a product onto the market can be done for under $200, but it will require more work and knowledge to do it. The bigger the budget you have to start with, the more you can outsource things to be done for you and the quicker you can make it happen.

The plan/list needs to be done first. It will help in the creation of a timeline, help to realize what is needed and what is missing, and will give some sense of direction. Otherwise you are just running yourself in circles.

From my knowledge, you cannot invest $200 once and make $1000 in a month. You also need to work hard in order to make that amount of money. You can create a site and sell your services through it, let people make comments on your works. This will bring you more customers = more work = more money.
Haha thanks guys! This is actually what I'm workin on right now lol. But I make websites in literally minutes, so for me it's just mindless, rinse-repeat stuff and it works out.

Not trying to ruin your dreams, but you need to be somehow realistic. If we flip the numbers around, pretty much anywhere in the business world, it would be considered VERY PROFITABLE to invest $1,000 into something that makes you $200/month. Just some food for thought.

      Heh.

A friend who makes and sells eyewear online sent me a big box full of his new product so I could sell the shades under my own business name. The idea was to test two different price points, his and mine. Anyway, I sold it all and was on the verge of sending him the proceeds via PayPal when he said he didn't want the money. It would just complicate his life what with everything else going on at the moment.

So I have his money. I don't want it or need it. What I want to do is make it grow and surprise him a year or so from now. I found myself thinking, "How can I take these funds and quadruple them in a year?"

Yes, Miss Grumpy Pants, the biggest cynic in the world, momentarily fell prey to the myth of sure-fire investments that magically multiply your money!

If it can happen to me, it can happen to anyone.

I'll figure out something. But I really do wish it was just that easy.

If you made that much money with Fiverr, why stop? Was the disigning too much work? If so, could you outsource? Did you have unhappy costumers? If so, could you ask them why, find a way to please them, and make it a learning experience? As they say in the South, "If it aint broke, don't fix it!" Meaning, if it worked for you, dont stop doing it.

I honestly see my income from gig sites to be like my income was from having a job. For me it's just investing income for my business.

You say you have $200 to invest and want to make $1000? My impulse is to look up different dietary supplements, create a site around a supplement, then SEO that site into the top 5 using maybe $100. That's what I've done in the past anyway.

You can always create a nice looking Amazon site since you do graphics. Outsource the content and you'll have decent earnings within a few months if you outsource SEO properly.

Overall though, since you're currently using gig sites, I recommend amping up your gig efforts. Add a few up sells and such to crank up how much you can invest. While your funds slowly increase make an action plan for creating sites for SEO.
