Help please. What should I do with this?

Hey guys,

I have a site called http://www.PowerWashingNJ.net

and it's ranked on the first page of Google and it gets about 4 visitors every single day.

Would you sell this site? Or rent it out?

I'd place a few ads on it. Or you could contact a few Power Washing contractors in the NJ area and see if they would be interested or you could use it to collect leads and sell them to the Power Washing companies. I'm sure they would appreciate them.

Well I guess you're targeting the NJ location.

Get your site ranked a little higher, top of page 1.

THen, contact local business owners who supply that service and pitch them on having them pay to be advertised on your website.

Or you can just use it as proof and have them pay you to also rank their websites. Local SEO!

Try a call to action on your home page or a form for more info in the sidebar. You could also try selling ads to local power washing companies.
If I change the home page, will the site's rankings drop? What do you think?

        Hello Larry,

If my memory serves me correctly, I learned from one Warrior that if your page's content has been ranked or crawled already, changing it's content will adversely affect your ranking. Let's hear it from the other Warriors.

Changing it a little bit to try to get leads or adding ads won't make much of a difference. People change little things like that all the time and there is no fluctuation of rankings. It is when you do a total re-haul of the site that you might see a drop.

Getting on the first page of Google is very easy when the search term is in your domain name. Now you need to get a Google map, some reviews and a few youtube videos on the page. Once you have moved up on the page and have multiple listings under your search term, you might have something worth offering. Where do you show up for related search terms. (other search terms people may use to find your services) Are you showing up in Google places? Do you have a Twitter account, a facebook business page and a LinkedIn profile?

I'm pretty sure I'm just ranking on the first page for the keyword "Power Washing NJ"

Hmm...I don't think I have the bandwidth to put too much time into this project, what do you think? Let it sit (it's not costing me anything) or sell the site?

Yeah you're only ranking #2 on page 1 for the term "power washing NJ".
You're no where to be found for the term "power washing new jersey"

I'd sell the site if possible. You seem to not have much of an interest in the project so get out and pocket some money if you can. ifff you can. You need to find a willing buyer to sell something.

I think you will be fine if you change it up a little. I mean you don't want your site to be totally static, the content needs to be change periodically to show google it is active. I agree that you should ad a google map and put some pins on some local power washers and contact them and try to sell some ad space. Since it is a local based (and small niche) maybe try to push advertising?

Since you just are getting 4 visitors per day, renting space for ads won't really work (I.e. You won't get buyers). It isn't enough to generate Adsense income either. I say keep expanding it. Add more high quality content that has the potential to get syndicated. Target more local search words.

Also, I read your homepage a little bit. It says that you also want to teach home owners more about power washers...like how it works etc. So for those you could target more general keywords that might have greater searches.

If you have some capital to invest try solo ads.
