Admin... How About A Memorial Section?

After reading about yet another Warrior's death (Barry Richardson) and a post in which someone asked whether his profile would stay up... I got an idea.

Why not have a Memorial Section to save all those threads that are memorials to fallen Warriors? It would make an excellent tribute to those who have been and will enable their friends a place to put their comments long after the thread leaves the first pages of the Main forum.

Warriors, if you think this is a good idea, post and/or answer the attached poll.

Well, I figure if memorials are done anyway as the one running now for Barry, clearly this is something the Warriors tend to do just out of their own respect for fellow Warriors. I see nothing wrong with that. It really isn't so much about privacy, because people won't be posting anything that is private - only what they know of the person as fellow marketers and interactions as friends.

Barry's isn't the first memorial thread that has run here. I'm simply suggesting they all move over to a special section after awhile so they don't just disappear and can be found easily.

I think it's an excellent idea... I fail to see how fellow
Warriors posting their thoughts and memories about a
fallen Warrior would impose on the privacy of the family.

I think it is a bad idea, it will just be more of a popularity contest like it currently is anyway, people who are not as popular wont get many responses and that will probably upset their families & friends.
Just leave it like it is now

I vote 'yes' but it would need to be controlled. It doesn't need to become a popularity contest - that would be in the mind of the beholder. There have been some great IM pioners e.g. Corey Rudl and it would be good to have a place to read about them.

    Hi Sylvia,

Though I understand your good intentions of remembering these
fallen Warriors, this is still an Internet Marketing forum. If anyone
is to be remembered, I think only Allen Says gets that glory

This is his forum after all~

But if there's to be a memorial, might as well create a whole new
site? What better way than to do that?

Adding a memorial Section, will make this forum like a family and I guess, will definitely help Allen..Since he will get more visitors interest+More talks=More revenue for him

This is definitely a good idea.

    I voted Yes

    Regards
    Shakul

EDIT: I guess, it is a bad idea to open a memorial section. WF is an IM forum and memoial section, doesnt make any sense...

    50 - Yes, 50 - NO -

    Undecided

Surely we don't want to profit from people's death Shakul. I voted "Undecided" because while it seems like a good idea I can see many downsides.

        Oh! Yeah, you are right.

It will be a really bad idea to open memorial section, since it is an IM forum and opening a memorial section, doesnt make any sense at all.

Voted "No", although the idea is good, but I don't think it should in this internet marketing forum. On top of that, I mean more works at the admin side because they need to sort out the post and etc etc
