Please Recommend an Internet Bank

Hi,
I'm looking for an internet bank where I can set up an account for my LLC, and where I will have my Google checks deposited. I just checked out VirualBank but it turns out there are in the middle of changing owners.
Please recommend one or post a warning if you've had a bad experience.
Thanks

I use AccountNow.com and I've had them since 2007. $10/mo, no overdraft fees, handles direct deposit, and I have never had a single issue with them.

    • Maybe I've just been lucky but I can't imagine paying for an online checking account. They pay me.

        • ING Direct. Got a $50 bonus for signing up and there's no monthly fee; they pay interest.

It's been swallowed whole by the Hun ("wot's in yer wallet?") Bank, though, so I don't know what goes on now.... Wait, I just checked, it's still a $50 signup bonus, there's still no monthly fee and they still pay interest.

Recently they sent out actual paper checkbooks so you can pay those entities (Infernal Revenue Service) that won't accept eChecks.

I've used ING Direct for years and I rate them as way the best bank I've ever had accounts with. I use them for checking and savings and I also had an investment account with them once.

            I recommend ING highlt

We've been using ING for a while. After Capital One bought them out, I've been nervously awaiting a huge disruption, but so far it's business as usual. The buyout was last year and official this Feb I think, so hopefully if they were going to slam us with fees they'd have done it already.

Oh, all that was to say that, unless C1 decides to go greedy, ING is a great bank.

I use ING Direct as well.

In Canada it conforms to all Canadian banking laws and your money is protected by the Canadian Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC) up to $100,000.

Well, that's good. I won't have to worry about the coverage limit for a couple more months, then. :p

    Hi,

I took the advice on here and tried to open an ING account.

My business is an LLC structure and the reason for this is privacy and protection mostly.

ING will not open a business (savings) account unless you show them a cancelled check from your business checking account.

I don’t have a business checking account, and I don’t need an one, I just need an account where I can have Google send the checks in the name of my LLC.

Has anyone else face this problem ? Do you actually have a business checking account or do you do business in a personal account?

    Thanks

Do you have a business account with ING? If so, were you required to prove to them you have a chacking account for that business at another bank?

Hey Lurky, you should check out my sig, we help non-US people open US real business bank accounts all the time. However we do require a few things to prove who you are, for obvious reasons we want to minimise fraud.
