The SUREST Way To Make Money Online

I heard a statistic a while ago that said 98% of IMers fail. Is this thing really that hard to do, is making it as an internet marketer about as hard as making it to the NFL?

Is there a way to make money online that just about anyone can be successful at? Just wondering...I've been kind of curious as to how many people are succeeding at this thing lately...

So, what you are saying is that you don't know of a surefire way of making money online, but if someone were to tell you then you would go teach it?

    Seems legit.

If 98% of people fail it's because 98% of people think as you do.

How could anybody know that 98% of IMers fail? It sounds like a guess somebody made.

True. There are so many people fail when it comes to IM.

However, you need to know that there are TONS of people coming to IM every day because the barrier of entry is so low.

Anyone with a laptop and internet connection can start in IM but most will not have the guts, courage and tenacity to stay and succeed.

Most of the people that I saw is "show me the money quick or I'm outta here" kind of guy or even worse "I want money but I have nothing to share" kind of guy.

Give out value and it will return to your many, many times.

Sounds credible to me (in a broad way, success is hard to define). After all, most people who try to go on a diet fail too, and success in both fields requires the ability to form productive and smart habits.

I'm willing to bet that it wasn't a statistic; rather somebody just plucked this lucky number from the air and began circling it around the IM community. It would be extremely difficult to compile such a study to (accurately) determine a success/failure rate - how many people would take such a survey, and how many would lie (a lot of people do it daily) about whether they were 'successful' or not, which is also a subjective variable.

If I were to ask you to define success, how would you reply? Is making $1/day successful?

Is this thing really that hard to do, is making it as an internet marketer about as hard as making it to the NFL?
No, definitely not - did you know that small businesses represent 99.7% of all employer firms? 52% of those are home-based businesses.

    To quote:
In 2009, there were 27.5 million businesses in the United States, according to Office of Advocacy estimates.
With those numbers, I'd say you stand a much better chance than getting drafted into the NFL.

Selling things from around your home on eBay would be a surefire way of making money online - just not a sustainable one if you're not continuously buying stock to sell.

Just wondering...I've been kind of curious as to how many people are succeeding at this thing lately...
It doesn't matter how many are succeeding - for all you know they could be lying to you. It benefits you in no way, whatsoever, whether they are successful or not because that doesn't put money in your bank account.

well people give up not because they're impatient, but because the techniques they're using aren't going to generate anything more than a very, very small amount of cash over a very, very long amount of time.

offline, online; they're just different mediums. anything self-initiated comes with risk, and there is nothing "sure" about it. you just need to walk your own path.

Internet Marketing is just like any other business. The reason everybody can run their own business is because we were all not born entrepreneurs. Those who succeed are those who are ready to run it like a business and to wait for the returns as the work is being done.

Lots of people give up quickly and again most people want a shortcut. People should be ready to think of IM as a business that grows with time and you NEED to learn the skills yourself

  • For a new offline business it is often realistic to not be profitable until the third year. I wonder how many failed internet marketers have put in consistent effort for three straight years before giving up. Most people give up within a few months so of course the failure rate is going to be very high.

I agree full heartily. You really need to be ready. You shouldn't be teaching someone something if you do not have the experience. I have seen this in martial arts. I brought my step son to multiple schools before we found the one to put him in. One of them had something like 60 + kids in the class. The people teaching were no older than me, only 30. They split them into groups and half were lazing about instead of in neat lines with some structure.

It goes the same with online. If you want to teach something you really need to dive in and learn until you have the equivalent of a bachelor's or a master's under your belt. If you are asking how to make easy money online you should not teach. I am not saying this to be mean of course but please do your research. Record what you do and how you make money. Once you have made money yourself and can prove it you can start teaching that method. While teaching that method you will learn even more. Good luck to you on your ventures.

It seems to me that IM is like marathon :-) Many people stay at the start line, but on the way, some are getting faster than the others, some quit, some prefer to run slowly in order to get to the finish line.
I do not really trust statistics, because that is all they are. Of course, not everybody that wants to be an IMer will also succeed. that would not be quite ok, wouldn't it?

I've heard similar statistics myself, not too sure if it's too but I know one thing for sure... A lot of people do fail online.

maybe not "want to fail" but definitely because they "don't want to succeed enough"

  • I heard the same thing. Crazy isn't it?

    Want to know why?

People get lied too and they believe the lies. They buy products they don't need and end up broke and frustrated and confused. Then they give up. Can you blame them?

I think people tend to just give up if they don't see results right away. But with anything good it takes patience.

Earning online is both easy and hard. But, you have to try for a long time. If you need a surest way to earn online, you must try the freelancing sites. If you get a job there, you will be able to earn some money each month surely.

Well I can tell you the surest way NOT to make money.

    First, don't name yourself "morbidlyobesepaypalaccount".
Second, don't come on a forum telling people you're broke after you just named yourself "morbidlyobesepaypalaccount".

In fact, even if your paypal IS morbidly obese, that name alone screams "bs".

So first way to succeed online is by picking a name that doesn't sound so scammy. Once you do that, come back and I'll give you step 2 lol.

Stop the "get rich quick attitude" first, then start finding stuff you can sell. Whether it be your skills, products or services, there is going to be someone out there willing to pay the right price for it. After finding your sellable product, its time to pull up your sleeves and start looking for the right buyer(s) or marketplace. Rinse and repeat.

You don't need to start big; go to Fiverr or oDesk to sell your skills; Ebay and Etsy for products you can produce yourself.. What's important is you remain consistent and focused with your efforts.

Most people fail at IM because they fail to LEARN. Failure is a GIFT. It is our invitation to LEARN. Oftentimes, people personalize their failure so instead of learning, they become uncomfortable, desperate, and feel hopeless.

Think of it as a personal challenge. What doesn't kill you, will only make you stronger. Fail forward, my friends, fail forward.

People spend far too much time jumping from quick "money making scheme" to "quick money making scheme". Generally when you I something marketing with the likes of "$xxxx made in xhours/days!" I know to stay away.

Pick one thing, and focus on it and see it through fully. Nothing comes easy and nothing is instant - consistent effort is what you need and you'll get there.

As for a sure fire way to make money - start off by offering a service (maybe on fiverr?) like article writing, graphic design, backlinking(nothing low quality!) or whatever you think you're good at. That's a good way to see some income and get your confidence up. Other more long time things like affiliate marketing are good too.

Learn SEO for sure - this will be infinitely beneficial.

Pick a method, and focus on it. Persevere and you'll do it - those who quit, quit because it wasn't the "quick and easy money" that they thought it was. You have to work for your money just like with anything else. But it can be done.
