Single or Multiple Products

Hello all

Do you find it better to focus a site on one product or multiple products in a niche.

Example for clickbank products.

I find products for lets say how to use facebook, would it be better to create a site for each facebook product I want to sell, or, create one site and market all the products I think will sell through that site?

thank you

    Hi Al,

Generally, you want to have a separate site for each product, if you're talking about one-page sales sites.

This allows you to focus the message on that specific product and the visitors to that page, whose focus may be tight. It also allows you to SEO that site more tightly so that you attract people who are most likely to buy.

However, I also have a blog where I post IM articles and advice. In that blog, I have a page which showcases all my products and then links out to the individual sales sites.

Don't forget the Clickbank Marketplace, Amazon and eBay - all great places to promote your digital or physical version of your product.

    Hope this helps!

  • If all of your products are IM related (for example) then sure why not launch them all from one site. If you are in different niches then I would go for a different website.

I think you guys actually misunderstood his question.

The question is should you promote one product or multiple products on the same site.

Which is better from a conversion standpoint.

^ I agree. I have always done well promoting one product. Promoting multiple products tends to confuse the visitor and they'll likely just go for the cheaper option, whereas if you just promote one product, you can do a better job of pre-selling it, even if it happens to be more expensive.

I haven't checked out Derek's advice (even though I am on his mailing list), but I do tend to promote mulitple products on one site. But I am careful not to give people to many options at one time.

I try to filter out what that specific customer wants and show them a product relating to that, I don't need to show them the other products once I figured out there need. If you don't do the figuring out need bit then yes, offering a few products might actually decrease converssions.

If all the products in the same niche, it makes more sense to put them on the one site. Not only will it be easier to manage and cost less because you purchase fewer domains, but over time, it will become easier and easier for your site to outrank other sites in the same niche. It also makes more sense for when you start list building as well. You will be able to e-mail all the people in your niche at the same time.

It all depends. For example if you're setting up a review site in a certain niche then it's easy to promote multiple products because you're reviewing every product in your niche.
