Ezine article traffic making a comeback

There were previous posts here pointing out that Ezinearticle's traffic volume was sinking. Well, it looks like EZA's traffic volume is picking up lately ezinearticles.com UVs for May 2012 | Compete

This is great news for article marketers and influence marketers. Remember, a large chunk of article marketing is all about BRANDING. All the talk about the sky caving in due to low traffic volume misses the forest for the trees. Even if EZA's total traffic volume drops by 50%, you can still make money off EZA if you reach the right people and establish the right connections.

  • Lets hope that it stays on the up and up. I was starting to think that it was a lost cause that was slowly on its way to a downward spiral.

But I'm a big fan of EZA, so I may just start doing many more submissions there.
  • Ezine Articles is alive, hurray!

Mind you the traffic stats do not look to cracky on Alexa.com, not as though that data is much to go by.

    • It was never dead, at least for syndication purposes.

  • Google wasn't a big fan of them because of all their spammy articles, maybe they found a way to get around it.

    • They need to scrub it hard for keyword sniping/keyword spam articles. There are some gems there though. It looks like Article sites as a source of SEO link juice is increasingly coming under pressure. Panda packed a punch. Definitely. However, there is still a right way to use EZA to get a) in front of the eyeballs of people that matter and b) build lists.

  • Thanks for the share. Seems Ezine get a nice way to outsmart Google.
  • I think I may be the only one upset (thus far in the thread) that traffic is increasing. All this will do is attract low-quality spammers back to the website, making them somehow think that their shady tactics will work once again. It will also make it harder for potential publishers to find worthwhile content when they'll have to sift through more junk.

Real article marketing won't be affected because people who are doing it correctly know that the traffic going to EZA are potential publishers and are not our target market

    • I share your concern but I strongly suspect they are filtering content submissions much better this time around. The stakes are just too high for them to let obvious keyword stuffing spam and other old shenanigans pass. If anything, the giant kick in the butt Google gave them is their wake up call to redouble their commitment to providing a quality store of reference information to their huge base of readers.
  • I never thought article marketing was dead if you submit well-written articles. I think it's just not good to automatically submit them and to have them poorly composed.
  • Yeah this seems to be the case...I'm starting to see consistent sales again from certain articles that I wrote for ezinearticles.com back in 08' & 09'.
  • personally I have always done well with articles...but get a bit of traffic from ezine.

I have far more success syndicating articles, and getting them infront of my most targeted audience that have money.

IT is how you can win the article marketing game.

I do however see a bit more traffic come from ezine these days, maybe google just penalized them and now alogrithms are not so hard on them, and their site.
