I've promoted affiliate programs with Plimus and have had a positive experience with them. They pay out, which is what's most important.

Plimus looks very promising but I couldn't find the answer to my question: how they handle refunds.

Plimus has great programs there and I am promoting one of their work at home data entry program. They don't convert as well as other programs but they have been around for a few years now I believe.

Plimus asks a lot of info on the order page of products. I think this would decrease sales.

OK folks this is not my nature. Plimus is the pitts, not only do they not return emails, but you have to jump threw hoops to get anything done. Including the affiliate program. Not to mention getting a refund. No way do I or would I refer anyone I know and like to use them. Period Sorry but the reports are not good!

Plimus provides ecommerce specifically for software companies. I prefer FastSpring FastSpring - Experience E-Commerce 2.0 - E-Commerce and Merchandising Solutions for Downloadable Software and Services, Software Distribution and Marketing a competitor. FastSpring's support is outstanding. My experience is that Plimus'' support is not consistent.

I've been using Plimus ever since a paypal rep was extremely rude to me on the phone. Now I can accept PayPal, MoneyBookers and CC/Debit card all to my Plimus account without having to have a PayPal account.

The have paid my on time or early every month, customer service has always been great and I could not recommend them more highly.

This is because they match it vs your CC or PayPal info, if it doesnt match it gets declined. I sell software and other intangible goods and with paypal would get unauthorized claims all the time, have only had 1 in the last six months so I say kudos to Plimus for taking extra steps to reduce fraud!

Can you expand on this? Resources? Thread Links?

Were these accounts suspended *solely* due to promoting a product from Plimus?

I listed a product with them and the user interface is confusing. You never know where you are in the process. email support is a joke. Seems like the whole mess is put together by programmers for programmers, not the average person. After three days of trying to figure it out I just went back to Clickbank.

    Yes plimus is good.

I use them and clickbank. They both have good conversions.

They are ironing out alot of their early day hiccups....and alot more marketers are using them.

    Hi Shakul,

I think they feel very scammy to me. They tend to house those "make $284,211 using my software" kind of products which I think are really bad for our market.

I'd suggest not using them because looking at their corporate direction, I think they will go down sooner than later.

Yeah, I agree that products that get rejected on CB are accepted on Plimus. However, I think in general Plimus offer better possibilities, like custom payment page, clickbank does not allow this. Also, payment methods for customers are more then on CB. And finally, the payment methods for affiliates and vendors are much better, you can get your money on Paypal or Pioneer Cards.

I have to agree with Blackbelt, Plimus (Slimus) is horrible. Just search Google for "Plimus sucks" and you'll see what I mean. Their customer support is unresponsive and they treat their customers and affiliates like crap. I once ordered a service on DP forums and paid through Plimus, and the vendor of the service disappeared. This was not Plimus's fault, but I had to get a refund through my bank. Since this resulted in a chargeback through Plimus, Plimus now refuses to accept any purchase of anything from me. That's right, once you have a chargeback they completely shut you off as a customer. If you are a vendor, you have to wonder how many of your customers Plimus is preventing from purchasing your products. I wouldn't recommend Plimus to my worst enemy.

I have been promoting as an affiliate on Plimus. they pay on time so no problem there. The product I'm promoting is rather suspect and was flushed from Clickbank. I think Plimus is more forgiving than Clickbank about accepting new products to their listings. They're rather slow about giving out refunds to customers. I'm not sure if this is a good thing.

I have promoted a few things with plimus as an affiliate.

They pay on time and via paypal, which I like.

They have a strict fraud filter though, so in the 'monitor' box where you check your clicks and orders etc, there are often orders that don't get approved and they have some sort of process where they ring the customer and they have to confirm the order over the phone, which probably loses some sales.
