In the beginning of this year I was very fortunate to make my first sale and earn a commission of $ 4.76.

Ever since then I have not earned a single cent. I have implemented tracking codes such as B or HR.

I have started to track the clicks through some .php software, but even though I have already had 49 clicks - there are no sales.

Does anyone know how can I check the amount of clicks or hops through my affilaite links in Clickbank to make sure my account is working?

PLEASE HELP, I am worried

If you see 49 clicks then your tracking looks to be working. That's not enough clicks to guage anything. Most people won't make a sale on 49 clicks.

Where is this traffic coming from?

Clickbank has lots of tracking issues for the past few months after their software update. In many cases the affiliate sales are not credited. If you search this forum you can find out some serious threads about this issue.

go into your clickbank account and click on reporting tab and then analytics tab at the top. Select publishert/vendor and the date you want to check.

Also it may be common sense but check that you have formatted your affiliate link correctly.

Sounds obvious but the amount of times I have done this wrong!

      Hope this helps!

    Oscar,

not sure what's exactly bugging you, but I advise you to install Google Analytics on your site. It's a great tracking platform and it's free. And it's from Google.

Then you'll be able to see how many people came to your site, where they came from etc.

Then to track how many visitors have clicked through your aff link you need to create a special page like bla.bla/Buy-This-Crap.html and put a redirect script to your affiliate link. If you don't know how to do that, google "meta redirect" or something like that and you'll find out. it's easy don't worry.

Then in your Analytics account you'll be able to see how many of your lucky visitors have clicked on your affiliate link.

Then, when you go to your Clickbank account you'll see some crazy amounts starting to flood in!! No, just joking, you won't see that hehe. But you can then check if everything is working properly. Check how many hops you had and compare that number with the number of visitors that clicked from your analytics account. If these numbers differ substantially than there is a problem. But if not, you're on your way to making money.

Just for an example: If in your analytics you see 100 people clicked on bla.bla/Buy-This-Crap.html and in CB you see 98 hops, you can say it's working.

Have any more questions, just shoot.

    Take care

Is it ok if it says something like this at the bottom of a sales page that I sent someone to:

    [affiliate = oscard.bi]

Oscar - that's what is supposed to happen. Yes. That info inside of [brackets] means that your affiliate ID is being tracked properly.

49 clicks is almost the same as zero. You can't make any judgments until you have a few hundred minimum, better a few thousand. Then you'll know how well your page and offer is converting.

If it says "no tracking code" it means you want to tell it to search by product.

    Hope that helps

I would think you can check by going into your clickbank account and check the reporting tab at the top. Then go after and click the analytics tab at the top of the screen and follow through to check the publisher and vendor table with the dates and times you want to check and verify. Hope this helps!

49 clicks are too few. The average conversion ratio for a good product is 1%. So you really need to drive more traffic to see what happens.

If you have 1000 targeted clicks and you still get nothing, then either the product you are promoting is not performing well or there is something wrong with your setup.

The fastest way to check if your setup is properly done is to run a Google Adwords campaign to test it out. Use Search Traffic as this gives you targeted traffic.

I second the motion that you need more data but Google Analytics will help you at least make sure your clicks are making it through to the right place.

    ok,

70-100 clicks are NORMAL, that's the problem with clickbank and MOST vendor pages out there. Its a very common number, often observed.

Thats why i started to make really good review pages which basically pre-sell and recommend a product. I heard people got down to 1:25 rates which would be EXCELLENT.
But your site must be good, convince people. They will turn into "buyers" before you even direct them further to the actually vendor page. This is the trick.
