Offering 4 affiliate platform/programs for 1 ebook (Jvzoo, RAP, W+, clickbank), good idea?

If selling an ebook, is it a good idea to offer 4 affiliate programs for the 1 book? to affiliates, so they can pick?

the 4 platforms being
jvzoo, clickbank, w+, RAP ?

is that a good strategy, to offer themm 3-4 choices? or not

what are your views

    Well, first you should figure out if it's worth promoting. Does it NOT have an opt-in on the sales page? Is the product selling for $7+ with 75%+ commissions, and perhaps upsells? Is the product itself extremely good, and the sales copy perfected?

    If your answer to all the above is yes, I'd definitely start with Clickbank. Their affiliate base is huge. JVZoo allows you to make your own sales page on their server which is pretty cool. And with WarriorPlus you can promote a WSO. I'd say those 3 would be the best places to start.

      You can promote a WSO with JVZoo too.

      I'd start with JVZoo - as it is FREE to get going, then after you get some data consider pushing into the other platforms.

        Correct me if i'm wrong here, but i would have thought that by spreading your wings too far you potentially risk succeeding at nothing whilst maybe only achieving a fraction of the potential sales you would have got by trying to conquer one platform, which will be totally different to another. For example like Jill says JvZoo is free and is good to get started in, whilst the WSO section are looking for shiny new products and get rich quick schemes etc. Selling here is much less important than it is to be primarily giving value to the forum and only as an afterthought almost trying to sell. The other part is to be recognised by other big affiliates and getting them to promote your product etc. Clickbank again is totally different and isn't as important to get decent sales by recruiting affiliates in the way it is here as the affiliate base in Clickbank is much bigger by default. By the way another alternative is paydotcom which i don't know if you want to give any consideration towards.

          Yes i heard people say this before too, which is why i asked.

          But will super affiliates think "this is selling on 2-3 other platforms, so for the reason i am going to choose NOT to promote it"

          is that part of how a super affiliates 'deciding process' for chosing a process works?

          rejection based on the product being offered on many platforms, or just one ?

            Any affiliate who's been in the game for a while (not just super affiliates) knows that virtually ALL affiliate programs depend on cookies to track the original affiliate referral through the sales process.

            Only one affiliate referral cookie is written when a visitor arrives on the sales page (based on the affiliate referral link). If there are order buttons for multiple affiliate programs (RAP, WSO+, CB, etc.)... the affiliate will only get credit for the sale IF the visitor clicks on the button corresponding to the referral link.

            I don't know of any experienced affiliate who would promote your product, if your sales page contained order buttons for multiple affiliate programs.

            Lastly, NO affiliate program recruits affiliates for YOUR product. They recruit affiliates into their network.

            The merchant still has to properly advertise their opportunity and incentivize their affiliates.

              I dont mean including 3-4 buy it now buttons on one individual sales page,

              I just meant 3-4 domain names, which would each be the same sales page, but wil have a different payment button.

              Sales page URL/Domain 1 - to a RAP Paypal button
              Sales page URL/Domain 2 - to a Clickbank button
              Sales page URL/Domain 3 - to a Jvzoo button

              so offering 3 different affiliate programs for the affiliate to choose from.

    If you're a big time seller with a huge list of buyers you may not need to spread yourself thin. But as someone new, expanding your reach as far as possible may be a good decision. Now if you were forced to allot less resources to each program individually that'd be one thing... but taking 5 minutes to upload a sales page on JVZoo for example to potentially find more affiliates... might not be the worst of ideas, right?

      Yeah fair point Ross as long as it is approached in exactly that way and not spending ages trying to work out what works best in different mediums whilst losing sight of your main goals.

        Not everyone in the WSO section is looking for shiny new objects - which does validate it for a testing ground. Not to mention you will get some exposure and can test your price points.

        Having said that - why I would personally start with JVZoo is because the start up is free, but more importantly it is FREE for the affiliates. I hate the fact that WSO Pro charges affiliates to be able to promote the WSO's. It's a personal preference, and in the end you'll need to make your own list of the pluses/minuses of each service and determine where you should start.

        Some believe that charging the affiliates helps to weed out the riff raff.

        Some believe clickbank is all junk.

        Some believe JVZoo is still too new of a platform.

        Draw up your own chart and scale, and determine what will work best for you in this stage of your product release. You might determine one platform has a better draw of affiliates based on your ebook.

    I think it's a good idea to offer 4 different affiliate programs for variety. I think this can only help improve the amount of sales you make

    Yes i think it is good idea to give multiple platforms to affiliaters. so that every affiliater can join the suitable network on which they are already working on.

    Only use one affiliate program unless you have seperate sales pages for each. Otherwise affiliates will lose sales.

    For instance affiliate A sends a customer using W+. The customer purchases through the JVZoo button. Lost commission for affiliate A.

    And so on....

    Use only one in a WSO.
