Domain extensions

Hey Warriors,

Im new to Internet marketing
So I got myself a Domain name today: funcats.org (not sure if I can state that here???)
And wanted to know what you guys think about that domain name? Do you think it has some potential?
My plan is to put all kinds of funny cat pictures on there and monetize it with ads. (with a layout like 9gag)

And I got another question: does it really care if you get .org because .com was taken? is this going to hurt my ranking etc?
Also i'm thinking about buying another domain that has the .net extension still available, is that better than .org?
Just want to make things sure before I begin to put some work in that domain, since i'm kinda confused with the extensions.

Sorry for my spelling and grammatical errors.. I'm from The Netherlands btw

    Hi there, firstly it sounds like quite a cute domain and well targeted for what you're trying to brand for so that's a decent start.
    As for the issue of rankings please see this thread for more details - No difference whatsoever
    I personally would go for a .net over a .org, but focus on one thing at a time, it looks like you are trying to do too many things at once.
