There are many. Too many to list here.

You might want to consider a video distribution service to take care of all of your distribution needs. They can save you massive amounts of time and achieve way more exposure for your videos than you could on your own.

Video marketing is a great tool. You can post them on your own blogs after you upload them, and of course YT is one of the most popular. I also heard of Daily Motion and a few others.

Looks like there is a difference of opinion here whether to stay on YouTube or diverse to other video sites. I fall on the side of just YouTube. The figures speak for themselves (2nd largest search engine, 200 billion views per day - and its owned by Google so happy high rankings

My advise would be to focus on other videos on YouTube

    all the best

You're best bet is to focus all of your effort and energy on making videos for youtube and bringing traffic to them. In terms of traffic, Youtube can't be matched

There are many ways to make money off video sites. But if you plan to do comment marketing, in particular trolling to get channel views, be careful. See http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ch-harder.html

There's a thin line between saying something provocative or thought provoking as to get channel clicks to outright insults and hate speech. As always, automation without context sensitivity leads to tragic traffic results lol.

I recommend uploading your video to as many sites as possible. In the desciption though put a link to your Youtube Video, and youtube video a link to your money site or offer.

    Mad backlink juice right there!

YouTube is definitely the best, but I also upload to Vimeo, dailymotion, and Blip.TV
If you get a following and decent amount of traffic, these sites all share in revenue

youtube is just a hosting service. Not the most important. A hosting service is like a utility. Sure your telephone provider is important, but then, they all give pretty much the same service.

You should focus some quality time and resources into learning How-To make your videos first. The best training I got was from Andy Jenkins' Video Boss. I know some people can't stand the guy, but I don't mind his sense of humor, I actually find him amusing. But the things I learned in his course were pretty substantial. True, I was a total video newbie to begin with, so my learning curve was steep. Anyway, don't skip this step, else crappy videos won't attract eyeballs, whatever the host of your video.

I actually have found some nice videos that had PLR and license allows for streaming on own website and other sharing sites. I just customize them a bit and add them to my blogs.
You can try fiverr too if you wanted to get some videos made.

Sometimes I use Tube Mogul so that my videos get distributed more widely and sometimes I just use youtube - it all depends on my needs at the time.

Having said that, the following is an extract from a report that I wrote and which you might find useful:

Don't forget that your article SEO does help your Video SEO and that the two are different.

Should the purpose of your videos be to bring targeted customers to your site then you should host the video on your own site or use a video hosting platform such as Amazon s3.

If you are hosting the video file yourself – utilize your keyword to name the file so that SE's will find it.

When simply embedding a YouTube video – look for one that uses your keyword in its name if at all possible.

If you have created the video yourself then submit the actual text transcript to an article directory with a link back to your site and use a variation on your site with the video.

When using a video that does not have a transcription then have a transcription service do one for you or do it yourself though it tends to be a bit time consuming.

If the video is your own and you wish to use it for back-linking purposes then upload to TubeMogul.com – they will then submit the video to the various video sharing sites.

Distribute one or two promotional videos to your favorite Social networks.

By allowing others to embed one of your promotional videos on their sites you automatically get back-links to your site.

You will find a lot of places besides youtube but from my experience I know, they will not give you a good fruit compared with youtube. It's better to focus only to youtube for video marketing. Effective campaign on youtube will be enough for your success.

  • Youtube is as many have said, a huge traffic source (if not the biggest) in terms of video.
But there are some stupid risks as well where you content can just get flagged by some hater and your stuff will get taken down without any notice and there's little you can do. So just beware.

To create Video I found Animoto is a life saving.
You can put any pictures and they will make the animation for you.
YOu can even put short video clip on it.
You can put your own Text and they will make your text beutifully displayed.
This is basically turning your plain pics, text and video clips into a cool video slide show !

In addition to YouTube, I often see Vimeo and MetaCafe videos on the front page of Google.

YouTube will obviously provide the most internal traffic, but if you do backlinking I would think it would not be too hard to rank Vimeo and MetaCafe videos on Google for the keywords as videos tend to move up the rankings at quite a rate with a bit of promotion and you should also be able to rank the exact same video on 2 different sites both on the front page of Google.

I use YouTube as a funnel tool to draw audiences into my marketing web, It's a great SEO tool too!

The key is connecting the call to action to the YouTube channel. I always link back to my main landing page on my own website.

        1) Content needs to be compelling relevant to the keyword search terms.
        2) I interview guests to keep the content fresh. I also do these using a Skype style show format. This worked so well for me that I implemented the service to others.
        3) use YouTube for Squeeze videos
        4) Try to entice them into submitting an email by offering a "behind the curtain" content
        5) Track and use remarketing to revisit those visitors
        6) Followup with email campaigns with more video content
        7) For videos I want to promote, I try to promote the video to get the views and likes up.
        8) Transcribe your videos and post the text with the video. I do this on my website.

Sorry about the mods deleting your thread. I saw it but didn't have a chance to PM you to let you know self-promotion isn't allowed here.

I hope this is a short time out.

Guys, Kersten really is an expert on video marketing. He's just not that familiar with WF rules. He's also a Featured seller on Fiverr and tends to net substantially more than $5 a pop, as far as I can see. He's got a sweet set up where he makes very professional Skype interviews.

(And no, this isn't a paid ad, I know him from his Fiverr work.)

Youtube is best for Google ranking- and Google is almost all that matters- but, not quite. And since Google owns Youtube, it's easy to rank high with your video on Google.

I've been surprised at my rankings on other search engines- Bing, for example, doesn't seem to like YouTube at all- go figger.

That's why I just slope over to Fiverr and have my videos posted on all the video sites - it's a well-spent five bucks.

The added traffic is marginal, but there's money in the margins.

Interesting... What kind of video was it? A video that went viral within Videobash? Because my experience is YouTube videos rank in Google and almost no other video sites do anymore... Or do you have ranking videos in Videobash? Do you have a URL?

You can pay for video submission services, they submit your videos to a whole host of sites you and I probably have not heard of, but obviously these video sites don't get near as much traffic as youtube. So you might be wasting time, and more importantly money.
