Video Landing Page: Your Criticism & feeback needed!

Hi!

Thanks for reading this thread.

I just got the design of my video squeeze page done. This is the last chance I have to make tweaks and changes to the design of the page before I put it up live.

Discover the FASTEST Way To Live Your Dream Life As A DJ Through Industry Secrets From The World’s top DJs!

The final video will be shorter and the audio is going to be mastered to make me sound louder and more confident.

Again, the ONLY goal of this page is to get visitors to submit their email.

The things that I would like to get your thoughts on are:

- Where do your eyes go first? The email box, the video, the logo, the text at the top?

- What do you think about the fonts? I'm thinking a different font for the headline is needed.

- The headline will be edited so that its stronger. Any ideas?

- Do you like that the video plays automatically or would you rather have to press play?

- Does the page make you feel comfortable to submit your email? (Does it look sketch?)

- What do you think of the Pro Dj Secrets logo? I did it myself quickly and i am thinking I should get something better done up...

I really value your opinion and am excited to hear your thoughts!

Thanks in advance,

~Sean

    Hey Sean,

Don't know about everyone else, but my eyes first went to the text at the top, until the video played. Then they went straight to the movement (video).

I thought the fonts were "ok". Changing them will def. give them a different "feel" but in the words of John Reese, "test, test, test".

I like the videos that play automatically, guess I'm just lazy like that! If I wanted to dj, I'd submit my email. I think the video will sell the prospect.

I think the logo is ok, but you could touch it up if you are concerned about it.
The whole feel of the video reminded me of one of Frank Kern's, lol. That's a good thing. If you make the video shorter and sell the target on that lifestyle, like you are, you should rack up emails left and right,

    All the best,
    Dwayne

Nice! My brother was a DJ at a strip joint for a while and benefited with a few EXTRA's

Might be good for college students...

    Hey Sean

I think your page overall works well but does need a few tweaks. My attention goes straight to the video and misses out on the headline.

    1. The headline does need to be a bit bigger to grab the visitors attention more.

    2. Try shortening the headline or splitting it up into something like "Discover the FASTEST Way To Live Your Dream! Become the Next Top DJ. Learn Industry Secrets From The World's best DJs!"

    3. I would put the opt in box a little higher up on the page and make it bigger to grab more attention.

    4. Make the Video dimensions slightly smaller so that the headline and opt in box stand out more.

These are just a few suggestions that will need to be tested to see what works with your market. I hope it helps and best of luck

    Rich

The things that I would like to get your thoughts on are:

    - Where do your eyes go first? The email box, the video, the logo, the text at the top? -- the logo

    - What do you think about the fonts? I'm thinking a different font for the headline is needed. -- There is something about the headline. Check other fonts. To me it is not real crisp and clear

    - The headline will be edited so that its stronger. Any ideas? - No ideas on the headline but the red in the pre-headline to me is hard to read. Maybe a yellow like in your email box.

    - Do you like that the video plays automatically or would you rather have to press play?-- yes play the video automaticaly. It pulls you into the page and the purpose of being there and keeps you from wondering around the page.

    - Does the page make you feel comfortable to submit your email? (Does it look sketch?)-- felt good to me

    - What do you think of the Pro Dj Secrets logo? I did it myself quickly and i am thinking I should get something better done up...-- you did a good job. I think it is fine.

    Hope this helps you.

    Hey Sean,

My comments are pretty much similar to Dwayne's. And the from a guy who is almost 60! If I was into the DJ thing, or a college student, I would definitely be interested in giving you my email for more info.

    Hi Sean,

You are doing a great job but I want to point out three things

1- You should change the "access to our free email newsletter"
to something more compelling and powerful.

What about "Hidden secrets to become a rockstart dance music DJ
    Course" or something like that?

Newsletter doesn't sound well neither cool at least to me. Use
the language your prospects use, that's crucial.

2- You say where you were and where you are now and that's okay,
but why don't you give a "secret" away upfront, something that
    they can use immediately.

I am almost sure that it will increase your conversion rate.

3- Split/test, just put up another similar page and test one
headline against the other, then colors, then with image
    (logo) and without...

    Hope this help.

    Thanks,
    ^PV Reymond

    Hey Sean,

I think your squeeze page will be work good.

But I have a few suggestions
-the headline is long and the fontsize is small
    -video dimensions should be smaller
-optin box a bit higher (the optin box is really cool)
-try asking only for email address (more subs.)

    All the best,
    Adam

Great landing page, it grabs the attention and works well, and I would just add a few suggestions: try increasing the size of the headline to get the attention more.
And try reducing the headline and making it a bit more to the point and sharp. Try adding the opt in box towards the top of the page to get contact emails more efficiently. Just a few suggestions, hope they assist!

    Your landing page is golden.

Of course you have to test it.

Although i agree with the criticisms about people missing out on the headline due to the eye-catching vid, i actually don't see that as a problem whatsoever. You sell yourself and your email course very well. I love the highlight bulletpoint blurbs that you'll be offering. Love how you'll be offering to show what equipment you use, and how it's to be used.

The only criticisms would be that you don't seem that confident, a little dorky, but hell, maybe i'm just overanalyzing your presentation. Maybe even tighten the beginning of the vid. It's a little slow and redundant.

But overall, it made me want to sign up for that course, which i might actually do.
