First Squeeze Page - Check It Out and Comment Please

Well, after a full year piddling around between this and that, I finally decided to set up something almost every IM has, a squeeze page. It was more difficult to edit in Wordpress than just basic html because of the theme I'm using it seems.

Here are the links if you guys could give me some helpful criticism or tell me what is good about them. This is my first attempt and I've only spent a few hours so far on them (mostly finding giveaway products and resell products).

Squeeze page

Thanks!

You've got a couple of typos (though you may have misspelled "laser" incorrectly on purpose for effect). Reading it out loud may help you find the others

very nice squeeze page, I like the color's...

however I do not like the placement of the form, everything is too big and the form is too small, the form should stand out a little bit and perhaps you should put it to the right side of the text not underneath it.

    does this help ?

Like the colors and layout of it all, think perhaps you could design a logo or change it away from a simple textual logo....

I'd also suggest moving your opt in are up a bit as I had to scroll down to find it

It's awesome that you've taken some action! Lots of people don't even get that far. Let's see what you've got here.

There are a few typos, as already mentioned by TheWrightWords. I would also suggest adding a video. While your page is fairly short, a nice video may help bring some opt-ins. Even though this is promoting a free product, I also think getting a custom image created for this squeeze page would help out a lot.

  • I would try to put the optin above the fold.

The opt in form needs to be higher up. Other than the few typos pointed out, great first squeeze page.

With your theme can you make this page not have the header menu, I always think that the only link on a squeezepage should be a contact, all other links will decrease conversion. This would also help you get the form above the fold and more obvious to the visitor.

Also you're using the standard getresponse box, with this page I think a wider form more shaped like a 468 x 60 banner would work better. To do this you will need to use some basic css

Like it! A little social proof that someone enjoyed it looks great next to your optin.

That being said, optins above the fold usually get better results.

At the end of the day its all about the conversion rates, use Google's free Website Optimizer and make tweaks to increase your conversions

I echo most of everyone's comment; opt in / sign up box needs to be a bit more eye catching.

Thanks so much to everyone who responded!

Fixed a couple of typos and such and moved the opt in form to just before the headline.

I always have issues with the Wordpress editor removing my tags but that is another issue for another time.

In my opinion it would look cleaner if you could disable the comment box at the bottom of the page as it's a little distracting- there is a free plug in that will let you do this- I believe it's called disable comments.

Other than that, nice colors, a great first effort!

I see a couple of typos right from the start, so that's the first thing you should look into.

The design of the page is a bit plain and not very attention getting. You have the right idea, but I sugest using some more professional and eye catching graphics. Maybe some stock photos.

I think everyone has pretty much nailed it for you.

To summarize everyone's comments I see the following major issues:

    1. Design is flat need to add some depth to the over-all design. See the nice shaded edge treatment on the warrior forum that separates the page from the background. I would get rid of the dark blue on the black/blue header footer color combination. The center/body or background also needs to be changed not enough contrast in color..I would recommend light grey or white for starting out other background colors are for more advanced designs..
    2. Formatting is off Even the header needs attention your menu is wrapping to a second line. Your company name is in time out in the upper left hand corner. The "unlimited blog backlinks" just below the header needs to be tweaked. I would talk about the "shortcuts you are sharing that will save time and safeguard against no results, blacklisting, and no website visitors. Then next I would discuss how your Step by Step internet illiterate compliant how to manual provides with precision the how what why and ..... This shortcut guide is so precise and comprehensive that even cake bakers are establishing overnight internet success!

    Hope that helps

Firstly, let me say: "Nice Work!"

Secondly, I think you can improve your main headline a bit by taking out many of the unnecessary words or even changing around the order. Best of luck.

    Hi,

Your first attempt of doing a squeeze page is good but i do agree that:

    - the optin form should be on the right
    - the 'comment' might be too distracting?
    - its too colourful.. you may want to stick to 1 colour theme to make it more professional. In my opinion, stick to blue (same theme as the colour of your ebook)
    - more benefits on how your ebook can solve our problems.

    I hope my suggestion helps.^^
