Hi everybody,

With all that's been going on, I am spending a lot of my time trying to come up with a plan to diversify and control the risk.

I make 90% of my money as a CB vendor and don't feel comfortable with that. It's not big money, but enough to be a full time online marketer. I want to make a plan which will allow me to have 2k dollars monthly by the next summer from things that don't have anything to do with Clickbank.

My first steps in this direction were a buts because I wanted to get a couple of Adsense websites and these websites got "penguined" about 6 months after I bough them.

I would like to hear fresh thoughts on the directions to think in, that is the whole purpose of this thread.

Thanks in advance

Excellent idea. I do the same thing.

This is why I'd never buy anyone else's AdSense sites. I train people in how to build mini site and full-blown authority sites, and I show them ways to do it safely so you're not affected by Pandas and Penguins. (Getting "penguined" is a good way to put it btw!)

You need to find what you're comfortable with, though. As I slowly build up my network of AdSense, I'm also running a content creation business and that makes me very happy.

If you're good at CB, why not try a few Amazon/eBay/CJ sites? The principal is the same: Find a good product, design a good conversion site, generate traffic.

first of, thanks for the compliments for making up a word I was kind of proud the second I did it

Am I good at Clickbank? Not to brag but I tested pretty much anything that looked remotely testable and when I now make a conversion list, I have 4 in the top 10 converters in the health niche, so I think I am getting by, having in mind that I am full time for only about a year and a half. My problem is that I absolutely have no affiliate base.

Now, it might sound like a stupid question, but I have never looked into Amazon, ebay etc. in depth...and when you say what you said, do you mean affiliate websites or what...

I burned myself with those Adsense websites and the sad thing is, the way my mind works I think I would buy an Adsense website again because my logic (likely to be flawed since I am on a no-carb diet ) is that what survived penguin is there to stay unless manual quality assurance people stumble upon it.

And BTW is the manual quality assurance department at Google a myth or a real thing?

You nailed it on the head: trusting any one source as your main source of income will always be flawed. Especially google. so I also like your direction of diversifying.

Did you have any thoughts about creating lists and/or products for your traffic?

I agree about leveraging your CB/Affiliate success to say flipping CB websites, writing content on how to do it, or just growing more generic affiliate websites to a point where your website is in an ever green niche and you would have no problem switching products with time.

Yeah diversifying income is the way to go. I have 3 income streams right now, but I will continue to grow and diversify.

Samaseth, yes, I do have lists in place on my CB websites, at least most of them, because I have a couple of "dead horses". When it comes to CB at the moment I am trying to figure out Pitch Plus and I have just made my first "expensive product" and got it approved.

As about your last paragraph, I must say that I didn't really understand what you were talking about, so you would have to rephrase it, please...

I was aiming at 5 income streams by this time next year. Adsense would still be an option, if I wouldn't suck at patiently building links

I would ramp up what's already working, and consider creating more products. Technically, you can somewhat diversify by entering new niches using the same system.

I am "ramping it up", creating up sells, installing lists, adding new bonuses, testing, getting into new niches but let's call things by their real name - if FTC would press Clickbank to strictly enforce every guideline they brought forth last year, that would wipe out 80% of the marketplace, and I am being conservative here, and what would be left would probably be a "conversion hell" and nobody would promote it.

If those guidelines were strictly applied to even TV commercials, they wouldn't pass either...

And that would be the end of Clickbank and they know it.

When I say diversify, I mean nothing to do with Clickbank or even selling my own digital products.

      Things like Adsense...

Yeah, I definitely see what you mean. I lost a huge chunk of monthly income from the Google Panda update. That part of my business is slowly getting back on track, but it still took a huge blow. So, yeah certain streams of income can definitely change overnight.

    Just a few ideas:

    1. Kindle publishing
    2. Starting a content creation service
    3. Coaching affiliates looking to make the transition to product owner
    4. Starting an offline business
    5. Network marketing/MLM

Those are just a few ideas if you are looking to diversify your income streams.
