Staying off the spam filters!

In a new project I am starting we will be doing a lot of coldcalling by telephone and if the prospect agrees then sending further info by email straight away.

We could be sending up to 500-600 emails a day in this way. As the emails will all say pretty much the same thing, apart from the prospects name in the email copy, I am worried we will get tagged as spam pretty quickly.

Obviously it's not spam because the prospect has agreed to receive the email but the spam filters don't know that!

It's B2B so most of the email addresses we send to will be own domain but we still get quite a lot of hotmail/gmail addresses though.

We are using google apps for your domain and gmail and all the emails will be from the same email address.

Any ideas on what we can do/should do in this situation?

It is worrying me because the email copy does most of the selling and if it goes missing that's a customer lost.

Any help gratefully received

That way you won't have the same problem, because autoresponder companies are good at white listing their email servers. Just my 5 cents.
I have thought about using aweber, getResponse, infusionsoft etc but can you use any of these services like a email client? Ie to send single emails?

Check out SMTP.com. They have a cool setup where you can use the hosted version of Email Marketer at Interspire.com which allows you to send email directly using their mail server AND with Email Marketer you can followup with autoresponder emails as well as manage your lists.

They claim their delivery rates are very good and pricing seems reasonable as well. I researched this and may go for the switch since my aweber bill keeps going up.
