Adding a squeeze page?

Hey you guys,

So I always hear people talking about adding a squeeze page and building list and I have to admit this is something I know nothing about. It seems to go way over my head. Is it hard to do?

I have shied away from it in the past because I personally hate when I go to a site and try to leave and get those pop ups saying wait don't go or whatever. That is the main reason I have stayed away from the idea but it seems that most people believe this is the best way to re-catch the traffic that you might otherwise lose.

Can anyone point me in the direction of some basic instructions for adding a squeeze page and building a list? Just some basic stuff as I am still not sure I want to do this but am becoming more interested in the idea if it really is worth the pay off. I would love to hear some opinions.

    Either read up on creating squeeze pages, hire someone to do it for you/teach you, or find a theme that supports it like Optimize Press/Profit Theme.

    Offer something sexy for free.

    Signup with aweber (or equivalent) and integrate with squeeze page.

    Those are your first baby steps

    Not at all hard there are Wp plugins that you can use to create a squeeze page in mins. I suggest optimize press because they walk you through it and their support videos are the best.
    I can't even imagine a business without one.

    Thats right I was in the same boat until the advice was given to have a squeeze page and build a list

    If you do this you will see huge dividends!!

    I have my own squeeze page (refer to signature).

    You can either learn to do it yourself (take long time to learn) or hire someone to do (freelance at low price).

    After that, push traffic to your squeeze page to get them to sign up with some attractive freebies.

    I recommend using a software called 90secondsqueezepage and it will help you create a squeeze page. Remember that a squeeze page must be unique and must keep the user interested-there's no point having a chunk of text on your page.
    Videos are nice and simple. A good heading like "FREE VIDEO....." is pretty good and gets conversions.

    Or you could use a program called Squeeze Page Giveaway which is pretty good. You can sign up free and it works pretty good.
