Can Digg Become a Major Traffic Source Again

With Digg being purchased and hopes of it being revived, should we spend any time trying to use it to get traffic now? Is there anyone here who is still using it? I am trying to decide if I should start trying to get traffic from it or just ignore it.

Agreed. I got a lot more traffic from Reddit than Digg at this moment.

That is interesting to hear. I had not given Reddit any thought lately. I assumed they had gone down hill as well. I am going to take a look a them.

I would kinda doubt it also, I haven't done much with Digg in a while. And Actually I was one of the first members of Digg.

I don't really think it can. The good traffic sources now-a-days are SEO, social and PPC/PPV.
It's going the same way as MySpace did I think.

I have to admit it I find it kind of crazy to watch these sites that were once king of the hill become so unloved after a few years. I doesn't bother me, such is innovation and progress, but if you had told me 5 years ago that everyone would jump ship from Myspace to Facebook, I wouldn't have believed you. And I'm in the tech sector!

I think Diggs to far gone, Reddits basically stole it all now. It's probably harder to revive a site than it is making a new one popular.

They've been trying so hard to revive Myspace, but, it's Myspace. No one likes Myspace because it's Myspace.

Good point. Maybe they will try to re-brand it and loose the Digg name altogether.
