  • I think this site is a wonderful place for people to learn about affiliate marketing from other affilaite marketers.Learn and implement
  • I found this tutorial Affiliate Compass - Members in some where WF. You can check it out.
  • If you want something for free you may not find a complete detailed source and you will bounce around alot looking and finding bits and pieces and waste alot of time so to save time and get it all in oneplace with the most detailed and complete course I have bought is from Mark Ling- Affilorama or Affiloblueprint course. It'l take you at least a month to get through it all, there is a forum and you can join his premium membership to use his free software tools plus a bunch of videos on extra money making venues. The main course is totally worth it but I wouldn't join the premium membership until you get through the main course as there is too much information and you won't be able to keep up with the monthly info added plus go through the course. The premium membership is $67 month and I believe the main blueprint is $197 (I bought the main course a while ago and now joined the premium) I don't know of anyone who didn't like the course. Every module has videos, pdf, homework assignment so it couldn't be simpler to stay on track. Hope that helps, good luck

  • this very forum has enough information to drive you crazy you know.... but that is very much in bits and pieces...
You can try one of the courses available on the market. however before buying some costly course, i would recommend you go for the free courses which are offered by the members on this forum.... I assure you that you will learn a lot from free resources.

The main trick is to learn to build a list and also to learn to promote correctly to the list.

    • This is a very honest answer i would too search the warrior forum and there are plenty of good resources and threads that will be able to assist you. Alot of them are free as well.
  • There are tons of resources. Try Youtube. If that doesn't keep you busy for a few months then try doing a search for "free affiliate marketing course"

There's a very good course called "The Affiliate Marketing Schoolbook" by Laura Burke. (Google will find it for you). It's actually the only one I've seen, myself, that doesn't include a lot of misinformation and misguided/out-of-date advice.
    • [ 2 ] Thanks
  • A great place to go is affilorama.com
    • [1] reply
    • As I also said above and agree with larry1113, Affilorama is awesome for beginners and it's all in one place! Or pick another person's training and stick with it.
I guarantee while you're looking around for free stuff you will be tempted to buy a few cheap ebooks and at the end of the year your total cost will be 10x that of affiloblueprint (or a main course by someone else)
Be fore warned it happens to the best of us and has probably happened to most of us, don't waste your time and money on little incomplete courses and freebies unless you pick a model and do it. Then move on to the next idea.
It's so easy to keep learning and never start as you will run into things you think you need to learn, so the learning continues. (but I might add,it is a continual thing anyway, just don't get lost in learning and never doing) good luck

The OP didn't say he was asking for free resources, you know?

(Though, now you mention it, that wasn't my own experience at all. And I don't think if I had spent money at the start, I'd actually have learned any more effectively or more quickly. "Just saying".)

    • not totally true. tons of free info out there on affiliate marketing

  • There are many courses and books out there on Affiliate Marketing. This form is a very good place to start. Check out YouTube. What are your interests? Pick an area that interests you and research it. Spend a little time visiting the different sections here on WF, there are some great IM's on here and they have a wealth of information to share.
  • 1) Warrior Forum

    2) The internet

    3) The Super Affiliate Handbook by Rosalind Gardner
  • and if you want some more valualed information. then my ebook is top notch quality to drive you forward to succeed.
  • Unstoppable Affiliate by Andrew Hansen and Josh Stanton is really good. Affiloblueprint 3.0 by Mark Ling is also really good. Affiloblueprint has more of a community feel, due to the fact that there's a forum and what not. Thus, it's the more expensive of the two. You can't go wrong with either.

    • It really depends on how you learn best. For me, simply reading this forum got me started. I was lucky enough to have a great mentor to help me along. I do better by reading material. Other people do good at watching videos. You may need a mentor to hold your hand for a while. It all depends on you and how you learn best.
  • The best learning is by doing. Just start something now, something easy and with a big market like relationships, which was my start.

  • Hi everyone

A lot of good advice but I must say
The best info is paid one I'm afraid
You can find good free staff but if you
Want results you need to invest!

But if you don't take action nothing happen

If it is a paid info or free so don't just read

    Act!

    All the best E
  • There is tons of free stuff, but paid coaching gets you structured learning.

WF is great if you want to search through a lot of material and trust that the person posting it is not full of b.s.

  • That's a good point. Plus if you're jumping from one person to another in the beginning you get conflicting information. That doesn't mean it's right or wrong... they might have different systems, different leads sources or different philosophies to affiliate marketing.

To give you an example... you have people who churn and burn their lists, and make a ton of money... and you have people who carefully build relationships.

I think it's good to pick a single person who's business matches the kind you'd like to have and then stick with that person. Either get them as a mentor, buy their products or just stalk them
  • Twist Training is a free resource recently launched which I think people just starting out will find very helpful.
  • YouTube has tons of good videos on how to create a blog (free ones on Weebly, Tumblr, LiveJournal, Blogger or Wordpress) as well as videos on keyword research, seo, ways to get traffic, etc.

And this forum is a wealth of information too...

    Good luck !
  • Great thread to find people sharing their thoughts.

Actually you can find lots of free courses about affiliate marketing but eventually paid courses has a better information which can make you work more better and understand more about affiliate marketing.

Basically in affiliate marketing you need to have the ff:
    -Website of your affiliate product/service
    -Traffic to your website
    -Lists

Good luck to your affiliate journey!

    Cheers!

  • i recommend u go for the free courses which are offered by the members on this forum
  • Learn affiliate marketing basics by visiting affiliate marketing websites such as Affiliate Marketing 101, Affiliate Marketing Basics or Affiliate Marketer Guide. These websites will teach you affiliate marketing terminology, types of compensation, affiliate promotion techniques and methods to increase website traffic.

You can also learn affiliate marketing through trial-and-error by signing up as an affiliate and placing ads on your site. Track ad click-through rates and affiliate commissions to learn which affiliate marketing techniques work best for your site. Experiment by changing affiliate programs, affiliate ads and ad placement to find out which methods produce the most success.

  • Decide which area of IM you would like to focus on. Next read threads pertaining to your area of interest on the Warrior Forum. Take some keywords and look them up in YouTube where you will find some great how-to videos.

When I started out I learnt quite a few things from Lisa Irby's channel on YouTube.

  • I truly believe the best way to learn affiliate marketing is by learning from an affiliate, 1-1. Now that's something you affiliates should think about - Trading course to future affiliates. I've a feeling it could be easily marketed.. (:

    • Catchy name!!

Not trying to name drop, but the likes of Jason Fladlien and peers are a good place to start. Just G00GLE "affiliate marketing" along with the name of some "real" and successful marketers and you will find a lot of valuable material - most of it free.

Do the same search here on the WF.

Best to you on your quest.

  • The best way to learn from affiliate marketing is by having a mentor.

There is a lot of information out there and so many different strategies that it's easy to get lost.

I would suggest you stick to a mentor and his methods until you get results. Then you can start with your own methods.

In order to build a long term business you need to be building your email list constantly and developing a strong relationship with the people in your list.

You can build your list using different traffic sources like Facebook, YouTube, Blogging, Solo Ads, FB Ads, etc. That's up to you.

Once the people in your list trust you, selling is the easy part.

The money is not in the list, it's in the relationship with the list.

    Hope this helps
  • Go to YouTube and start going through some videod and then start trying things yourself.
  • I have to say the best way is to jump in and grab the bull by the horns. You may fail a few times, but fail quick and learn early.

This website is great for learning different tactics and to find great products that will help you along the way!
  • The best way you can learn affiliate marketing is reading, read a lot about affiliate marketing on - blogs, forums, websites...Simply reading articles get you started.

  • Affiliate marketing really isn't successful without some sort of following.
I would shift my focus into learning methods of creating that following first, like blogging, list building and such.

    Best of luck!
  • 5 Steps to Take if You Plan to Learn Affiliate Marketing
If you’re ready to learn affiliate marketing, there are certain steps you can take to give yourself the greatest chance for success.

Start with the proper affiliate marketing training
Identify your audience and find out what appeals to them
Invest time and effort to keep your affiliate marketing strategy on track
Set up a schedule for updating site content – and stick to it
Accept your setbacks as a valuable learning experience, and use them to improve your efforts going forward
Accomplishing all of these steps will have you well on your way to achieving success as an affiliate marketer. While the last three points concern your own personal outlook and approach to your work, you’ll need some expert help with the first two steps. It is essential to find a comprehensive affiliate marketing training program and learn how to attract new and repeat visitors before you attempt to put together an affiliate marketing strategy. Even if you’ve already dabbled in affiliate marketing and have some income from it, the right affiliate marketing training program can greatly improve your chances of success in this field.
  • Here's the general rule of thumb..."The greater the quality and value of information provided by any given course of study, the greater the reciprocating return in quality and value to the student." Hence, FREE is cheap but lacks depth and quality and therefore, often lower in value. That you should expect for anything offered for FREE (Generally speaking of course). Hence, many so-called FREE offers are just teasers serving the purpose to get you to buy into the real course. So beware not to waste your time on such offers.

If you approach IM as a student seeking to succeed in it, you must view your learning as an education. Additionally, you should treat it as such and apply yourself to assimilating all you can about IM. There are no shortcuts!

Either way, FREE or Paid programs, you are going to pay in time, effort, money and mistakes. Mistakes are a part of your education so don't despise making a few mistakes. Rather welcome them as part and parcel of your education.

Therefore, don't just pay the price to learn...enjoy it! There are a ton of courses and programs available to you to learn IM. Surf the Net and vet the top three you come across.

You can find a fairly reliable list of tried and proven coaches and gurus via a search on 'G' for this title / keyword using the quotes: "Top 15 Internet Marketing Gurus Changing People's Lives"

    Hope that helps some!
  • To know more about Affiliate program you have to read article about that.
  • There is a huge amount of free information out there, including on my blog, that will give you an introduction to affiliate marketing.

The truth is that there many ways to market, and they could all potentially work. But not necessarily for you.

The IM landscape is dynamic and changes all the time. What really works now is probably not widespread on the websites out there.

Would you share the goose with the golden eggs yourself?

One of the current buzz words is 'retargeting'. If you're going to do affiliate marketing, make sure you understand (and use) that concept.

You have to figure out what works for you and your niche(s), scale it and reap the profits while it's working.

    Hope that helps.
  • You can check out Affilorama.com that you can join for free to learn some basics. They also have a course, AffiloBlueprint that includes videos for each topics.

Alexa is right. The "Affiliate Marketing Schoolbook' by Laura Burke is great. You can see an intro here:

Laura says it's ok to share this page.
  • There are tons of video tutorials over Google and Youtube. You can try these. Or consult with someone who is experienced and follow what he directs. Truly speaking i never waste a single penny to learn online marketing when there is Google. Yeah may be i am following a slow learning method but trust me it feels great when you get it by your own by checking daily forums, blogs, tutorials and eBooks to learn anything.
  • I think all methods of 'learning' you should avoid as much as possible.

Just Google stuff. Learn from maybe one course and then fob off courses and forums. Just mess about with websites or leadpages and then just send fb traffic to it.
Remember the copy for landing pages is stupidly simply. Your trying to get them to give you their email, not buy a $4000 course.

IM is basically like baking a cake. Don't buy 50 books on how to bake a cake. One will do the trick.

I think when most people say IM they mean getting email signups and then sending affilate links/good content to that list.

If you can do that, you can move onto other models like local pay per call, general seo and stuff like that.
  • Ha, it's good to see that good ole affiliate marketing is still around.

  • Better than any tutorial or e-course would be to just jump in and start spending money trying different things out. Optin to peoples autoresponders, join a traffic exchange, start viewing niche specific You Tube videos etc.

With that being said, the people I know who are making good money on the net already have a good sense of business in general, or have significant experience in the corporate world that they have built off of.
