A lot of people like Tuesdays and Thursday around the early afternoon... like 11am-2pm EST. That's because a lot of people are on then. But a lot of people bump and launch then too, so your WSO falls down the page rather quickly.

When you bump at an off hour... say 7pm EST on a Wednesday... then less people see it right off the bat, but it stays higher on the first page longer.

So... there is no best time... it's all about your preference really. It's really about your offer too. Either it's fantastic or "another one of those WSOs".

Well, it's finally happened. I have to disagree with one of your posts. I appreciate your information, but you forgot to note that the OP was not from the U.S.

Your time of day is fine in most cases (and you are correct about it being 52 seconds), but you also need to compensate for declination. If my boy Scout Handbook is correct, then the best time for the OP to post is Saturday eveneing at precisely 11:43PM U.S. Central Standard time.

I will assume it was an honest mistake, and that you were not trying to sabotage his efforts.

      All the best,

Actually Mike, you're wrong. I took into account that he's not in the US before I gave him the perfect calculation for the time to release his WSO. See, I'm in the Eastern US time zone myself, and I've found that you need to base all of your WSO decisions on the people who live in the Central US time zone.

        The reason?

Too many people live in the Eastern one (NY City, Boston, etc), the Pacific one (Los Angeles), and too few people live in the Rocky Mountain one (cow pastures and corn fields), so the Central time zone is the perfect one to base your judgements on.

You also have to know that certain cities in that time zone don't celebrate daylight savings time, which is why you have to go by standard time instead.

Declination IS important, but I've found that the magnetic variation,
as extracted from terrain charts, of the latitude/longitude of the
computer used to make the post, adjusted for shifts caused by
un-sequestered solar flares, is the most critical factor in the when
is the best time to post WSO's.

A few old-school types also adjust for diurnal fluctuations,
especially when it's cold and they can hear running water.

3 year ago perhaps, but since WSO sales are now largely driven by affiliates time spent on the front page doesn't matter very much.

              Hi J.

I was waiting for somebody to suggest this. While I can't speak for anybody else, I can tell you exactly why I'm having some fun in this thread.

It's because Ross already gave a very good answer in post #2. There isn't much to add to what he said, so now we're just having a bit of fun - not at the OP's expense, but in a more general sense.

Fun?? Fun?? OMG Michael! No! I thought everyone was taking my research seriously!

I have just lost all faith in humanity.

I think I'm going to slink back to the real world and concentrate on making money instead of providing real, scientifically-proven results that people can use.

GENIUS! I was considering the role of sequestered solar flares, but I couldn't get the math to come out right. But figuring in un-sequestered solar flares makes it all add up. Thank you!

Of course I am assuming you are basing that on subharmonic frequencies and not falling into the trap of confusing them for out-of-phase anomalies. (I figured you had it covered based on your response, but just wanted to make sure.)

Man...why must I correct everyone. SEOwen (love the name by the way, very clever!), you never ever ever ever want to do anything when the forum is busy. If you post something when it's busy, that means you're posting when all of the haters and trollers are around.

Haters and trollers are not your target market. Don't post when they're around.

Instead, you want to post when only the serious people are here. My absolute mostest newestestest research shows that to be 4:17AM Mountain Time. I know that's contradictory to what I'd posted initially, but this faux nouveau deluxe research was just completed 3 hours 27 minutes.

Now you know, and knowing is half the battle. SHEEEERRRRAAA!!!

I don't have much experience with WSO's but I've read from multiple sources that you shouldn't post it on a monday and that alternating bumps between AM and PM is best. 6am or 6pm is what I heard.

This question seems to float through the forum every single week... and the answer does not change. The best time to post your WSO is when it's ready to be posted. Spend your time worrying about your product, your sales copy, your offer, your affiliates. Those things are going to make a much bigger difference to your success than the time of day your offer was posted.

I agree. As most people I use to buy following recommendations of the affiliates I trust, so it doesn't seem very relevant the time or day when the product was launched in the first place. Obviously I might be wrong (and a generous soul could prove the opposite by means of statistical data) but I guess that there are too many factors involved to provide a well founded answer to this question.

Love the advice to avoid the Trolls (LOL) but unfortunately Trolls never sleep.

If you want to see your WSO longer time on the first page, then post it at offpick hours. At this time visitors are comparatively less, but your WSO remains longer time on the first page to be seen by the people.

On the other hand, if you post or bump at pick hours (when most people post or bump), your WSO will remain on the first page for lower time duration. Though a lot of visitors are available to see your WSO, but for shorter time duration, you may not get expected no of viewers.

I always prefer the offpick hours for my WSO.

    This just in:

My research has once again been updated. It turns out that, after seriously studying this matter in-depth for a matter of at least 2 quintillionths of a second, the new best time to post a WSO is any time that there is a Lost rerun on TV.

BTW...as far as I know, no one is running Lost reruns. Does anyone know why? I loved that show....

Its our way of letting him know he's asking the wrong question, each of us got the same kind of responses when we started out too. Its how Warriors play, and if he is one ten years from now , he will probably play the same way.

The question is posed as if there is some sort of magic bean... but there isnt, just hard marketing work...nobody has a hit for free, no matter what day they post on.

Even myself, if I dont follow the formula they flop. I can sell 600 copies one campaign that I did the groundwork for, and not even 20 copies on another when I didnt do the ground work.

A wso in and of itself doesnt work unless you are happy making ten sales in a month. Its the things you do to spread awareness before release that matter. When the coals are white hot because you have raised awareness to its peak, then lay the wso down on them. Thats the time thats best.

Otherwise you must find ways to drive traffic to them such as email lists or google adwords...

So the time to release a wso is when you are prepared to send traffic to it.

Thats either by having a majorly hot thread where people are begging yuou to relaease one and you have thousands of views, or its for whatever time you are ready to send your email list to it, or your jv partners email list... or place your google ad.... WSO's do not work like magic, the only real significant traffic you get is the traffic you send.

A benefit though ias that they DO get better search engine love than many webpages, but that isnt going to create the initial spike you are looking for, only sales here and there over the long haul.

Although tuesdays and thursdays seem to be the best day to do list them...its a huge generalization, and there is more involved than just listing something.
