Starting My First amazon affiliate site?

Over the past week or so I have done quite a bit of research on a few products. I have a few keywords targeted for each product, and a domain hosting all ready to go for my site. I want to create a wordpress site, but I don't know how to start. I know one page is going to be reviews and the like, but what else can I do to provide value to my customers? How do you guys g about setting a wordpress blog designed at marketing amazon products, any plug ins themes ect? I don't know much about wordpress so anything is helpful.

My sites are a combination of reviews and articles. I think this gives a nice flow to the site and encourages consumer trust.

So I will write or outsource articles using "buying" keywords for my review articles. Then I will mix in general topic articles that will often reference these "buying" keywords which gives internal links and strength to the site.

To make it easier I use a plug in that will add photos from Amazon and links. I do not use pre-written reviews or auto posting.

If you get stuck just shoot me a PM.

I so enjoy when other Amazon affiliates share tips on how they develop their Amazon sites. Thanks for the useful tip about general topic articles.

I use wordpress for my review sites but I don't structure my site like a blog. Instead it's more like a website made up of pages with very simple and easy to follow navigation. The side bar navigation would be pages of individual product reviews.

I set up my review sites with a static home page. For example, if I were building a review site on "treadmills" the home page would be a page about treadmills and all their benefits.

I would also have some pages with content related to the topic of the site.

Not only should you include product reviews but articles on things in your niche. Let the people in your niche know about special offerings and related products they might be interested in. You should also make sure that you are building a list. As long as the theme fits within your niche, it'll work. The content on your site and the info you provide to your list are far more important.

    Good luck,

Great advice from everyone as usual. I haven't seen this yet so I will add it.

Also make an FB, Twitter, Pintrest and Google+ accounts so when you write new reviews and new articles you can post them on each of these. This will help to increase followers and traffic.
