I have a bunch of nice turnkey sites im not using right now.
If i were to put an offer such as: "I will give you a free turnkey website if you sign up for hosting under my affiliate link.", would you consider it?
Feedback welcome.

p.s. I have a total of 996 turnkeys available for this project

If i were to give some screenshots of the site? Would that make you more likely to take it?

Honestly, I probably wouldn't. It would probably be more beneficial for you if you got a hosting reseller account and provided your own hosting while giving away a site.

It kinda depends on the quality of the website too. You know, nobody really wants poor quality. So, the screenshots are always welcome if you want to sell something like this.

    Cheers,

Well i just wondered about it because I have almost 1k unused sites laying around. I'd say probably 10% i should throw out, but some are product sites, (selling a product that i would give away with it). They are all instantly ready to launch. I put text files with each one telling where to fill in your information (contact email, amazon link, paypal email, clickbank id, adsesnse id). is there a better way to make money off them? Kinda a newbie. All help is welcome.

Have you thought of giving the sites away as an incentive to have them host with you? If you can have 1000 people paying you $7 per month to host their site, that's $7,000 a month.

Also, could you sell them on Flippa? I kind of doubt it since its about $29 to list plus fees to sell.

One, why do you have so many websites?

And instead of trying to get affiliate commission from a hosting company you should just sell the sites.

And if these sites are actually good then why not spend some time/money to make each of these sites profitable for yourself. You could do this with seo, ppv, or other traffic methods.

Rob, that's a good point, but I think ill go with the reseller hosting idea. That could be profitable.

No. I don't need more hosting, unless it was a deal that I could not refuse.

It would be best that you as a reseller of hosting rather than earning by using affiliate.
The conversion will be low if you request them to do something in return. You might just as well selling hosting and the turnkeys site make it as addon value.

  • Are they making money or just simply ready? I think the quality level would need to be there, I have seen these deals before where the content looked like it was written by a drunk person.

You should look through them and see if you can sell them. There is a place in this forum where you can list them.

I've got several thousand of these on my hard drive. You can buy an endless number of "turnkey" PLR sites for hundreds of niches for around $10, give or take. Not too exciting unless they're getting traffic or bringing in some dough.
