What are the Best Offline Gold Products?

Over the past 6 months I have seen several WSO's for products related to the whole Offline Gold niche.

Now that I'm looking to get into this kind of business, I was wondering if anybody can recommend any Top Notch resources.

I really hesitate to start buying courses piece by piece and try to connect the dots myself.

I fear info overload and analysis paralysis.

I realize there is never a truly all-in-one resource, but I would love to get into something that is as complete as possible.

Any recommendations?

Thanks for the help.

    Cameron -

Up front I want you to know that I have several offline marketing products out there for sale but I will try to be as neutral as possible. For me it is a matter of choice.

-If you want to cold call there are products for that
    - If you want to walk businesses to business and sell there are products for that
    - If you want to hold seminars you can get a product
    - If you want direct mail you can also get a product

To me it comes down to how you want to approach the customer. I came up with my stuff because I hated the idea of going door to door, or making cold calls. I also wanted to talk with business owners only after they had shown an interest.

Several systems come with different cost. Mine takes a little bit of money while some are free - cold calling, business to business walk in sales, and others take a lot of time and energy (seminars).

Again the choice is yours. If you have no problem cold calling then do that, if you want to get out in the community and sell face to face do that.

    The choice is yours.

    Best of luck.

    Tim

PS: No matter what you end up doing you only make money when you take action.

You could go the route of WSO's, but quite frankly, there's been an avalanche of information concerning Offline plans in the past few months discussed in a multitude of threads. A good majority of them basically give away the what's, why's and how's.

Choose a method and let it run it's course.

    I highly recommend joining OfflineBiz (affiliate link: http://tinyurl.com/dfwwz4 ; non-affiliate link: OfflineBiz.com)

AND I also highly recommend you join http://localbizbuilders.com.

Andrew Cavanagh's products are very good and some are included at offlinebiz.com. David Preston's information was good as well.

I have have no doubt that Willie's product will be worthwhile also.

There are some offers out there that I don't recommend, but it's best not to name them here.

I think OneEmpowered meant to recommend http://localbizbuilders.com run by a Keith Boisvert, also a long time member here on the Warrior Forum.

If OneEmpowered didn't mean to recommend Keith's site and forum, then I will.

I've been a member there since it opened up in early 2008 and it's the #1 source, in mine and many others opinion, on the web for all things in the Offline Niche.

The best part is you can join the forum for free and get many of the answers to your questions almost immediately... if you can't find what you are looking for, just ask and you'll get lots of great people willing to share their vast offline niche knowledge with you.

You are correct - thanks for catching that! I edited my post above to correct the link.

I also recommend it very highly, but I think I have gotten even a little bit more from the first forum I mentioned above. They are both so inexpensive, both offer free membership areas and both deliver a ton of good content.

You could do worse than search the old version of this forum - this subject has been done to death several times over the years, I haven't seen anything in the recent bunch of stuff that was any better or more comprehensive than has been discussed here before.

This subject seems to be seasonal, it comes around in cycles.

There are several good threads on this forum and take a look at the forum specifically for offline builders localbizbuilders.com it is also quite informative. I wouldn't recommend spending any money until you have read the few threads on this forum regarding this niche.

    Cameron,

I would recommend you first check out the many good threads here. Secondly you can join free at LBB http://localbizbuilders.com this is in my opinion the best dedicated forum to Offline Bus. I personnally do not think it worthwhile to join other pay-by-month forums. Most of the info you need can be found for free.

Yes. This subject has been done to death but always from the point of view of how much the marketer can make - regardless of whether or not it produces what the offline business want:-

1 - less expense next week (ie. money in pocket next week that would have been spent if no change was made)

2 - somewhere to advertise with a high probablity of getting new cash customers.

Satisfy those two requirements and you are laughing.

You might not like what I say - but I believe it.
Build it, make money, then build some more
Some old school smarts would help - and here's to Rob Toth for his help. Bloody good stuff, even the freebies!

      Always? Really?

You haven't been reading the same threads that I've read, then. Making them money is what it's all about - not ripping off small businesses as you've suggest in some of your recent posts.

You obviously haven't read any of the training mentioned above.

Maybe you're getting your opinion from WSOs selling Offline info products. If so, what would you expect them to hype - the biz opportunity or making SBOs rich? WSOs are selling to the IMer - not the SmBizOwner, so, of course they are going to point out the WIIFM for the IMer.

The contributors for the threads, on the other hand, emphasize delivering value - not ripping anyone off.

I've been consulting small businesses for years before I found this great forum and I've just added IM strategies to my offerings in the last few years. If I don't deliver results, my clients get their money back. I've fired a few clients, but I made money for all the others. (AND saved them money at the same time.)

All of the resources and contributors I recommended above focus on making the small business money by
      (1) getting them more customers
      (2) getting customers to come more often and
      (3) getting customers to spend more each time they come.

The first is the hardest and most expensive for SBOs, but IM makes it much easier. The second is the easiest way to multiply their business because most SBOs aren't keeping in contact with their existing customers at all. IM obviously makes that easier and email makes it inexpensive. The third can be accomplished with several marketing principles learned through IM and non-internet marketing.

Just curious ... do you not find all the other IM discussions to be more about getting rich than how lives are being changed by the content delivered?

But, this is still a forum about how to make money, isn't it?

I think the Offline Biz threads usually focus more on making a difference for the customer than any of the other IM topics.

Offline consultants HAVE to deliver because the SBOs demand to get what was promised. If an IMer sells an ebook, 90% of the people won't do anything with it so the IMer doesn't have to worry as much about the end user's results (although, obviously, they should).

I think there certainly are some products that fail to show you how to make a business profits...usually from amateurs who really don't know what they're doing.

I have an entire ebook called Online Gold For The Offline Business that is entirely devoted to showing how to use internet marketing strategies in a small business to increase its sales and profits.

My product From Offline Store Front To Offline Gold also focuses almost entirely on a strategy designed to increase small business sales and profits by using email marketing.

On my membership site and forum OfflineBiz.com we go to great lengths to brainstorm and explain different ways of genuinely helping a business make money.

It's just plain common sense to help the businesses you work with make more sales and profits...they will hire you over and over again for project after project.

That's one of the key "secrets" to being a true professional in this niche.

      Kindest regards,
      Andrew Cavanagh

    Hi Cameron,

The offline niche can be very varied as there are mny business models that can be followed. From seminars to cold calling, to lead generation to portals, so it would depend on what part of the offline business model you would want to pursue and how you intend to sell your self!

I would recommend going to Local Biz Builders Forum or Offline Is A Goldmine Forum!

You can then surf around for while and decide on a business model. Once you have thi in mind you can buy the products focused around that. I have products myself, but I would say you need to be sure on the model you want to pursue first!

    Wow!
Thanks for all the feedback. Looks like I have a few resources to start on.

I'm not to crazy about cold calling. Person to person could work -- or I could get a few friends that are already very comfortable with that approach and focus on the actual consulting.

I just did a search in the old forum and found a lot of good stuff. And I will head on over to LBB Forum.

I get that much of the strategies are in free forums, but to be honest, I've always been a proponent of paying for somebody else's hard earned knowledge for the specific topic I want to learn.

If I got the cash, I am very much into saving the time it would take to wade through a bunch of posts. -- but that's just me.

Again, thank you all for shoving me in the right direction.

First of all you should understand that the term "Offline Gold" was one I chose for one of the first products in the niche...the report Offline Gold For The Online Marketer.

I believe more people have gone from zero to making a full time living with that product than any other.

Be careful about who you buy from.

Lately there have been a ton of people jumping on the bandwagon selling products in this niche who have little or no real experience selling their internet marketing services to local businesses.

I buy most of the products that come up and quite frankly many have been untested garbage.

      Kindest regards,

First off, I want to thank all those that recommended the LBB forum. I wish I could take the credit but that rides soley on the members.

Andrew's products pretty much launched this niche into the limelight and put a name to something that some of us were doing, and added credibility. So obviously anything he puts out would be worthwhile.

Willie is a legend, and I am sure anything he puts out will be pure gold.

Don't however discount some of the smaller or not so well known products. I have had the pleasure of reading a few that are coming out soon that will be well worth it!
