For the sake of argument we'll use 101ebooks.com as an example, the site is already taken, but I want you to picture the basic name idea..

Anyway, it'd basically be a site that sells ebooks for exactly $1.01, (less than the price of a cup of coffee). Each ebook has a list of 101 things to do in certain situations.. 101 things to do before you die, 101 things to do with your kids, 101 things to do in Vegas etc...

Do you think people would actually bother purchasing them even for such a cheap price when they could easily just find a similar list on the net? Or do you think it has potential to pick up?

Who wouldn't buy it? It so cheap and you can't easily find ebooks with the same price as that. Based on the topics listed, maybe its not a top pick but still it has a potential

Yeah, its a good idea, but where are you going to find all of those ebooks to sell? Are you planning on writing these yourself or grabbing them from someone else? (WHich I wouldn't recommend) setting up a site that only sells ebooks would be a tremendous amount of work unless you already have around 100 somewhere on your computer that you have written already.

It was just an idea that I probably won't even go through with, but yes I agree. If I DID do it, I'd write a bunch of articles myself and waited until I had a decent collection before even attempting building the site. Also, I would probably outsource a lot of the work. It's easy to make a 1-2-3 list, but if you made each topic and list descriptive (with added pictures), it gives your product more quality and might attract more people. Assuming you start making money quickly, you could just invest about %20 of your sales towards outsourcing the work, then get more articles/ebooks + more money..

But this is more of a business type thing I suppose, and probably best for a group of people, not just one person, that'd be a bit overwhelming.

Try it out and see what happens. Every person can say, "it's a great idea", or "it's a terrible idea", but there's only one way to find out.

If it's worth the investment, then do it...if not, well you have your answer already.
