Customer Loyalty program: ideas for making it work?

I've got lots of customers who spend a lot of money with me, repeatedly over the years, and I'd like to create a (automated if possible) customer loyalty program... any ideas?

For example I may want to offer a normally priced $400 course for $197 for those who'd bought a $1K+ course from me last year, if they order during next two weeks... challenge is administering and tracking all that stuff.. any ideas?

    You can do it with an autoresponder, by adding the people who bought that $1k course to a new list with a follow up sequence.

      Well there are several tracking programs available in the internet designed for the same purpose. I just couldn't recall any because I've only stumbled on them when I'm studying some SEO. but when it comes to loyalty programs, the only technique that's been successful is to give loyal customers lots of customers either freebies or discounts to make them feel noticed and that should be enough to make it work.
