Hubpages used to allow affiliate links but limited the number you could use. I also know that after the various updates implemented by Google, lots of people lost lots of traffic. I don't know if the rules for affiliate links have changed since I stopped using it. It's been years.

As for Wordpress, you're not allowed to use affiliate links if your site is hosted on Wordpress' servers (domain.wordpress.com), but you can use affiliate links on a Wordpress blog that you have purchased your own domain name and hosting to (like Hostgator).

read their TOS. I place them on other web 2.0 sites, but I spin them so it's not always an affiliate, sometimes it goes to my main site.

      Hi Gill,

A slow, careful read through this thread from yesterday/today (and its links!) may help you a lot, because most of the comments made in it about "Squidoo" apply to most other Web 2.0 sites in which you might be interested: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...t-squidoo.html

It really isn't necessary for you to post in that bold typeface like both of your posts above, and doing so is more likely to irritate and annoy other members than it is to get you any better or faster replies by making the content of your posts more prominent. "Just saying".

I believe you can... just make sure you submit original content there found no where else on the internet... that way you can insert links into your Hubpages hubs.
