Amazon UK/USA help

When you provide an affiliate link for Amazon uk and an american buyer clicks on it they can't buy from your affiliate link - this is correct isn't it.

So basically the same way round as well.

How do you get commission for both sets of visitors?

Is there a way round this?

Thanks in advance.

  • If you're using a site based on WordPress, you can use
the Amazon Localizer plugin and it will automatically
direct the visitor to the right Amazon site based on
    their location:

WordPress › Amazon Affiliate Link Localizer « WordPress Plugins (no affil.)

You still need to sign-up at the Amazon sites to get your
separate affiliate IDs. Just insert them into the plugin and
it'll redirect the visitor to the appropriate site.

  • Thanks a bunch man. Much appreciated.

How would this work without wordpress?
  • Shaun, as this is going to result in a nice cookie, how do you configure for the new cookie law? It's a bit confusing what needs to be done, so I'd like to hear what you've done with this.
  • are they not legal cookies?
  • or am i wrong lol.
  • Yeah, there's no definition anywhere, as far as I can find, and no real show of what to do unless you pay someone to do something that'll probably not work anyway...
  • Could anyone clarify this problem??
  • I am using a free plugin that gives a cookie message, requires no action if they aren't bothered by cookies.

For amazon i create 2 links for every product us and uk, takes time but works.

    • The simple answer is to have a disclosure page and include the .co.uk and US affiliate statements
