Site just blew up in sales

Thanks guys I appreciate it long way to go till I am satisfied but it's a start. I am selling products it's an ecommerce store.

I didn't buy the site on Flippa, a friend of mine knew a lady wanting to get out of the business she didn't touch the site for a year and had about 12,000 visitors a month going to it but not converting. The niche is powerful and growing too so I would have been a fool not to jump into it.

I do buy and sell on Flippa however, sold my old ecommerce site on there for $7,000 and a few blogs for about $500 or so. I may sell my current site down the road but won't do it for less than six figures.

Very cool story. Talk about seizing an opportunity. Well done. Would be interested to see where you're at with it in 30 days.

I knew it was there had to take it, sucked losing $3,000 but it's coming back to me sooner than I expected so damn good investment. But the money I am making I am putting a lot of it back into the store, still have some conversion things I need to work on. I expect 6 months or so (if Google doesn't kill me) to have the lifestyle I been dreaming of, we will see though have some tough work ahead.

Sounds like you made a smart decision. Are you thinking of starting an affiliate program at any point? I do feel affiliate sales only work in certain niches, so it may not be right for your site.

That is good news! Just don't change to much, keep doing what you are doing and then buy another e-commerce site and so on, rinse and repeat.

Thanks for the feedback and kind words guys I love having affiliate promote for me it would work in this industry because I see alot of small blogs promoting amazon products, I will ether buy them out later down the road or offer them a better deal if they promote my site. Only issue is I have a yahoo store and I don't believe they have that feature so I will need to figure out how I can create one.

The yahoo store I have was professionally built, I am improving things such as checkout process, breadcrumbs, header, footer, product descriptions and pictures. I think me not building it from scratch allowed me to see it as a customer and not take it to heart.

Right now the main source of traffic is all search engines, it's getting about 12,000 visitors a month, have some other keywords I want to target and hopefully turn that into 20,000 visitors and get conversion above 1%.

I have risked so much and had many failures of losing money, but we can't succeed without failing and getting out of our comfort zones thought. I know it'll all come back to me and I am sure there are more failures ahead waiting for me. I just can't wait to prove everyone wrong and show that I can make this happen, I really have had no support and a lot of negativity towards what I have been doing these last few years.
