This is just stupid...

I'm not coming here and saying "Making money with niches is dead, don't do it because it doesn't work" but I think things have gotten to a point where there's a massive amount of over-saturation with this method.

First, Bill the "internet marketer" writes a blog about purple plush teddy bears, while of course making sure to include their origin and uses (because everyone wants to know). Then sell - what? None other than purple plush teddy bears on the blog! After this a great ebook on purple plush teddy bears must be written and sold. Surely it has to come with an offer to buy t-shirts with purple plush teddy bears on them as well! Once this ebook is said and done, it's imperative that another ebook be released; this one could be titled: "how to become a billionaire" and describes the purple plush teddy bear monopoly.

You'd be lying if this didn't sound familiar to you and, in all honesty, it's getting to be a bit much.

  • Any successful business has to sell something that people want and can get better quality, faster delivery, and/or a lower price than competitors. Usually this is something the business founders come up with themselves.

Selling someone else's idea is definitely possible, but it's rarely the most lucrative way to go.

I understand that something needs to be sold but I'm tired of counting all of these "millionaire making" methods that all preach the same blueprint.

It's just Sturgeon's law at work: "90% of everything is crud." The price we have to pay to find the good 10%, unfortunately, is to sift through all the crud.

So true it's not funny. You don't need to buy anything to be successful with internet marketing. The information is out there for FREE, it's just a matter of finding it.

Not exactly down but frustrated with seeing people that are truly trying to learn getting sold the same old story.

I felt exactly the same a while back, but my problem was I was concentrating too much marketing to the IM niche. Now I concentrate away from online cash type niches and find the whole experience much better without having to wade through the same old stuff over and over promising this that and the other!
