The most profitable and lucrative niches to get into are the niches where your interest lies.

No matter what, if you are interested in your niche and are involved in it your website will be easier to build and you will have much more fun marketing and making cash from it.

Choosing a niche for the sole reason that other people are making money from it will become a chore and it is likely you won't succeed.

You can make money in any niche.

Tons of people think they're "interested" and should get into the niche because they are learning from it while they try to find a niche. This doesn't help them (or customers) in the long run, since they don't really have any business teaching or recommending products in a niche they know little to nothing about.

To get a great niche idea, skip all of the websites and use your brain. What do you like? If you were starting a brick and mortar business, what would it be based around? That's your business idea. All that's left is to tailor it to an internet audience, and that's not even necessary. The internet can just be one of many tools used to market said business. In fact, I'd recommend it unless you cannot or will not get out of the house.

Amazon and sites like that are good places to use. Once you get the hang of it, you learn that profitable niches are all over the place. Here are just a few common ones:

    dating

    weight loss

    make money

    learn Spanish

    gardening

    toys

    pet care

    electronics

    video games

    learn guitar

    fashion

sports...The list goes on and on. When choosing a niche, it shouldn't be just profitable. It should also be one that you have an interest in and actually know something about. This makes it easier to connect with your audience and come up with content. You'll pretty much be able to write from your head and what not.

    Good luck,
    Joey

Any niche you chose has to contain 'buyers' who are willing to pay for what you have to offer.

Without that, any niche is a dud!

Even better is to find niches that contain 'desperate buyers' - then you set yourself up for a non-stop ongoing income stream.

Simple really, but so many get this all wrong!

Never a truer word said! its all about buyers....and where do you find buyers?....everywhere!

I ventured away from the IM niche a little while ago and have to say it was the best thing I've ever done!.....but I had the same question where to find these niches, so I looked online everywhere, the problem is they were all heavily competitive niches.

What I found works best is to have a drive around your local area in your car, look at shops and what they specialise in...i'm not talking big mainline shops, I'm talking small family ran shops, such as josticks and new age stuff....cake designs etc etc...small businesses like this spend money on rent for the shop, stock, etc etc....that means there are buyers, or they would'nt be prepared to pay out such large overheads, therefore if they can get buyers into a small local shop, there will be millions of buyers across the net.

Just my little tip for finding some lucrative un-competitive niches that has worked well for me!

Thank you for this! I have been wondering the same thing too. I just thought that have a fine list of niches where I can choose what I want to write on will make it more easier. I am a bit flexible and I like many options too.

Thank you good people of Warrior Forum! I'm learning a lot everyday!

Magazine racks. Look for highly priced magazines. Also very good for sub niches.

Look around and find out what your friends, relatives, neighbors and other people are irrationally passionate about.
And if you're stuck, come up with the latest Tug Toner or Shake Weight

The best method of finding is to test as many niches as you can. You will definitely find a few untouched gems.

The best way to predict any niche i would recommended you to use Google Trends and Twitter Trends. these two websites will let you know how internet trends is basically going on and you can after that use Google Analytic Tool to search high paying keywords for your niche.

Depends on what kind of niche I'm looking for.

Consumer product niches, information niches, entertainment niches...etc.

Niches are everywhere. On the news. In magazines. On other websites that you frequent. Once you realize what you need to look for you will see niches EVERYWHERE.

There are so many schools of thought when it comes to this.

In fact I did a whole long 30min video plus on niche selection alone.

It depends on where you are in your business. For the newbie that is going to have to do all the writing and content creation themselves, because they don't have any money then as dadsom said, something you are interesting is going to prove you with the most likelyhood of success (there is a lot more to it such as are there buyers in the market, but it to in depth to go into here).

If you are more experienced you can go after any buying market because you can always outsource the parts (such as content creation) that you are not interested in yourself.

Magazine racks are a great place to find niches that the average IM person is finding.

But then the stand places like amazon, clickbank and ebay also work very well to find lucrative markets.

There are lots of ways to locate profitable niches, and I'm going to tell you about the latest method I've used.

A few hours ago, while browsing my favorite PLR shops to buy some packs for two of my sites, I've discovered another niche You may want to study what PLR topics are being produced, which ones are selling out. Because PLR providers are (mostly) catering to internet publishers.

Other than that, some of the thousand ways of locating a niche are:
    • Magazines (both online and offline mag racks, mags' websites),
    • Popular marketplaces (Amazon, PayPal shopping, Clickbank, eBay bestsellers),
    • Popular Squidoo lenses,
    • Press releases (join to PR distribution networks as a blogger/journalist),
    • eZine articles.

Sometimes I'll use Google Trends: Google Trends

It shows what's hot at the moment

Right now, one 'trending' topic is Teen Choice Awards 2012

You could do a youtube video on that, for example, being that most fans of that are probably 13 year old girls - I'd monitize the youtube video with ads - and even build a landing page with good content about the favorite teenies this year and set up adsense ads.

Just a random thought - just be creative - go where the traffic is

Something else you can do is check amazon for new products, or even just do a search in clickbank or CB Trends for new and trending offers.

Affiliate Marketing - Find the Best Affiliate Programs and CPA Offers from OfferVault is another good place
