Hello Fellow Warriors,

A long time ago I started a niche adsense site on the topic of Santeria, Vodou, etc testing the waters etc. Thankfully it was a decent success, decent adsense income started flowing and for a new IM'er I could not complain..

As time passed by I decided to launch a social network for those folks and it has been quite a success with over 5,000 members and 1,000 of those members very active on the site - I decided to launch a private network for the members of the free social network but things are not picking up as quickly as I hoped for....

I am posting the URL here in the hopes that some of you experienced marketers, sales page gurus, can offer some suggestions or perhaps some advice on how to market the page a bit better to attain better results...

It has had some success, i made some money, but things not going as quickly as planned.
Please let me know your thoughts.

If I were you I think I'd look at Allen's
sales letter for the private forum and
    swipe it. :-)

Your offer isn't strong enough and
    compelling enough - you're asking
people, IMO, to pay for something
    they're basically already accustomed
    to getting free.

How do you convince people, like on
this forum, to pay for that? See that
    letter.

Thank you X! - wow - you know what I didnt think of reviewing that sales letter but thats definitely a positive angle - im going to take a look and see if I can get anything out of it and revise it......do you think its a bad idea to convert the free site to a paid site.....im just trying to think of options here without hurting my current membership......argh!!

My initial response was going to be that
        converting something people have gotten
for free to paid is tough - then I thought -

"Hey, Allen's done it right here with success".

It's worth trying - you just have to demonstrate
        the value is there.

I don't think people are willing to pay for an
        enhanced community - but that's why they'll
stay. I'd come up with something else to
"sell" - since I don't know anything about your
subject I have no idea what that'd be. Instead
membership in the community becomes a "bonus".

Interesting so your suggesting that I come up with a product that they would probably be interested in - once they purchase they get access to the members only community. I like this idea but I was looking at the possibility of having some residual income coming in and if they purchase a one time product then I get a one time sale and no monthly earnings...argh!! I should've started a paid community from the beginning lol....i guess I have alot of thinking to do now.
