I've been reading around a lot Warriors forum and decided to stop procrastinating and actually do something. I've created a blog at fitlifeskills.com which is about gaining weight. I'm gonna post tips and advice here for those who want to gain weight, then monetize it with AdSense. I plan on selling an ebook in the future. I've got Google Analytics up and thinking of what to do next.
Please take a look at it and leave some feedback. Maybe you can't even see content? Maybe it's fu.cked up in your browser? And what woud be best to do next? Submiting my articles to EZA or Digg?

  • What's your marketing plan for your blog?

You need to get your blog indexed in google for now. Digg all your blogspot. Join a few gain weight forums. Have your blog url in your signature. Participate responsibly in those forums. Avoid forums with no-follow enable. Start monetizing your blog. Not only with adsense but with other affiliate programs. You may want to showcase relevant ebooks and weight gaining supplements.

Oh and if you are planning to sell your own written ebook infuture, now is the time to start building your list ^^.

    Goodluck and all the best!

    • I've posted an article in EZA from my blog. I'll see how much traffic it can get (if any )..

Next, as c.zhehao said I've got to index it in Google.
Don't have marketing plan yet. I want to post more content and start attracting visitors to my blog and start creating a list for the future!

  • You should probably work on getting the site actually up. I went to the site and didn't get anything.

I think your market is great. It's a niche people rarely talk about - Gaining Weight. Most talk about losing the weight, but there are people that need to gain weight. Carve it out then branch into more mainstream keywords.

    • Does it show empty WP theme or totally nothing?
  • Intersting use of the "weight" niche. I know I have run into people who had problems keeping weight on, unlike myself. I wish you well in your endeavors.

When submitting articles you may want to submt more than one. Rememer it is a numbers game. If you get only 10 visits from the article this week, don't get discouraged, instead post 10 more articles. Get 10 visits from each and your up to 100. Gettingmore is a bonus.

Also, don't forget that EZA is not the only article site out there. Not everyone goes there. Some sites use Goarticles, or some other article site. Spread the love. Submit to as many as you have time for.
  • Good start. However the site is still showing the web hosting page.

    Cheers ... Pwety

    • OK, money is not the most important thing now... My goal is to create a popular blog with loyal visitors and growing list (1000+) in the next 6 months. I'll put AdSense there but wont monetize the blog more (at least don't plan on it now..)

All is new to me in this business so I'll just focus on learning how to get traffic and build a list creating a relationship with people.
  • Interesting idea, and an inventive inversion on the weight niche! Sounds like an under explored niche, as most people are exploring weight loss methods and not weight gain. If you're using articles for sales and traffic you may want to send your articles to more than one submission site for maximum exposure, there are some great threads posted on the forum with their top ten article submission sites, very useful and helpful, check it out if you can!
