Authorize.net alternative for EU, UK and other International (non US)

The reason I am posting this is because I wanted to get feedback from international publishers who have been limited in their options because they do not have access to a merchant account provider that works with the Authorize.net gateway.

I have opened a relationship with merchant gateway provider that has an Authorize.net emulator. Meaning that we were able to integrate their gateway in the same way we integrate with Authorize.net and now offer the same features to international publishers that we previously only offered to US based Authorize.net users.

If you were to be able to have access to a virtual terminal, one click upsells/downsells, forced continuity, and other ecommerce automation and sales funnel features requiring direct credit card processing etc. and it was integrated with an ecommerce automation system that you loved and provided you the features you needed that increase your profit potential and sales funnel automation abilities...

Would you:

1. Be ok with a 50 pence ($.69 USD) per transaction fee?

This would be because the only way to make it work would be to put the authorize.net emulator gateway in front of the international merchant provider gateway so fees would be double normal per transaction feed.

2. Be willing to process orders in USD? They would still be deposited to your bank account as usual. This coud be a USD account if you have access to a bank that will provide you one.

The merchant account fees would be standard ranging from 2-4% depending on the level of risk the underwriters of the merchant account provider assign to your type of business.

The application process would also be the standard application process as you would be applying for a standard merchant account.

3. UK and other EU residents would qualify immediately to apply for a merchant account using this gateway. However, if you are outside of the EU would you be willing to incorporate in the EU in order to obtain these services?

    Josh,

Why would I need access to Authorize.net?

There are several alternative merchant account
services based in the UK many of which have
the ability to integrate with UK banks.

My post is not about authorize.net but an alternative to Authorize.net. I edited my subject line to reflect this.

The three questions are about specifics regarding this alternative, which is available to EU residents and others who are willing to incorporate in the EU, and whether the limitations listed above are acceptable.

The reason for the questions is due to the gateway we want to use with the EU based merchant provider because of its features.

    Josh,

This is why I asked the question..

because they do not have access to a merchant account provider that works with the Authorize.net gateway.
