Hey guys,

I want to add a page on my blog for "Recommended Products". Its primarily an information blog but I think an additional income stream from a few amazon sales would be nice.

I know that there are a ton of amazon plugins but I need something that is fairly cheap and looks decent. My favorite at the moment is WPZON, I absolutely love the way that the product looks but the plugin seems a bit excessive for my needs as I would like to just manually place a few select products (not importing hundreds, or autoblogging with it, etc) in a manner that looks professional.

Any suggestions? Feel free to promote your own product

Cheers

J

    Hey,

if you are looking for something cheap and not too complicated, just use the tools from the amazon associates program itself. It's for free and you have a lot of options how to present the products.

I would just do it manually in a similar style as the rest of your site.

Amazon has several widgets which are easy to incorporate into your site. I like Carousel Widget which allows you to select different products by sliding it with carousel control. People seems like it as well and in addition it keeps them longer on your site, so you have less bounce rate

Most of my sites don't use plug-ins for Amazon. I pull links directly and write product reviews. I "cloak" links with Pretty Link.
