The best way to capture emails on Facebook ?

Hey fellow Warriors,

This probably is a stupid question but I need some good advice as to the best way to capture emails from Facebook.

I am setting up a facebook page in a popular niche and if all goes well, traffic shouldn't be a problem. But i want to get as many emails from these visitors as possible.

So, can the new timeline still be used in some way to do this or will i have to send the traffic to my website ?

Thanks

As far as I'm aware, you would still have to drive traffic to your website.

You could make your cover photo, a photo with your URL on it - at the bottom and small, Facebook don't like you using big, noticeable URLs.

You can simply send out status updates linking to the squeeze page to capture emails; ask other fan-page owners to promote your squeeze page; communicate closely with related fan-pages - people will begin to notice you, then it's fairly easy to get your stuff promoted.

Use the ad system - Facebook literally has thousands of ways to advertise your business on it.

    • The best way is to write a Facebook app that collects the user's email address. Of course, the user sees a dialog box from the app that requests it, and you'll need to get their permission.

Treat any email you get this way with respect, or Facebook can disable your app.

Its pretty simple. Just use address.yahoo.com. Login to yahoo. Let yahoo download all your facebook friend's contacts.

I have found that a Facebook page doesn't grow on its own. If you are not posting regular post, and if people don't find your page its a problem. Niche targeted Fans takes lots of dedication to acquire no matter what niche you are in, and lots of dirty, tedious work. I am under the impression that you hope your Facebook page to grow automatically.

Once you have targeted fans, conversions to your email list should be easy. Buy a valuable PLR that your Fans would love to read, and people will have no choice but to hand over their emails. Make sure it's something valuable, that they will always remember you for.
